After Muscle Man's girlfriend Starla dumps him, Mordecai and Rigby are stuck with his usual jobs while Muscle Man cries in the shower and eats away his sorrow with protein powder. After their attempts to get him out of his funk by meeting another girl fail, the gang tries to get Starla back with Muscle Man.
Tropes
- Abhorrent Admirer: Mordecai does not like Starla back and is quite disgusted by her, only going out with her in an attempt to get her back with Muscle Man.
- Big "NO!": Mordecai and Rigby both do this when they accidentally walk over the sand wave formations that they worked almost an hour raking.
- Brick Joke: One of the tasks that Mordecai are Rigby are given while Muscle Man is depressed is to get rid of a homeless man living in the park who thinks he’s a knight. Later, when Starla is going on her rampage, the homeless man’s “fortress” is knocked over, and he opens a portal that leads to what looks like a medieval kingdom to escape the onslaught.
- Didn't Think This Through: Mordecai and Rigby’s plan to get Starla to get back to Muscle Man ends with Mordecai telling Starla how much he dislikes her. It did not occur to him nor Rigby how women feel when getting dumped.
- Fan Disservice: We have Muscle Man's Shower of Angst (shown multiple times), Starla's bouncing and the two of them making out at the end of the episode. Cartoon Network Australia edited out most of it (Rigby crashing into Starla's breasts and the making out part at the end), but it did nothing to tone it down. Mordecai and Rigby said it best at the end of the episode:Rigby: This was the most disturbing day of my life.
- Funbag Airbag: When Rigby first meets Starla, he does so by accidentally walking in-between her breasts.
- Given Name Reveal: Muscle Man reveals to Starla that his real name is Mitch Sorenstein.
- Gone Horribly Wrong: Mordecai and Rigby think that the former dating Starla and then dumping her would make her come running back to Muscle Man so they would be dating again (which means that Mordecai and Rigby don’t have to do his work anymore). However, when the former actually DOES dump her, she goes berserk and tries to kill him.
- Heroic BSoD: When dumping Starla, Mordecai flat out says that he doesn’t like her to Starla’s face. She is seen looking stunned with his words echoing inside her, complete with a Staggered Zoom as they repeat, then looking crushed. After Mordecai leaves the building, she snaps out of it to being FURIOUS with him and chasing after him.
- Hulking Out: Starla does this after being rejected by Mordecai.
- In Love with Your Carnage: "I think you look foxy when you break things."
- Mean Boss: Benson makes Mordecai and Rigby do Muscle Man’s work when he is off-duty due to feeling depressed about his break-up with Starla.
- Noodle Incident: According to Muscle Woman's tramp stamp, one of her past lovers was named "Steve." We don't find out who he is or what happened to him.
- It also reveals that this most recent breakup with Muscle Man was actually the second one. Nothing is revealed about how they got back together the first time.
- Not Good with Rejection: Starla is not happy when Mordecai dumps her hard.
- Oh, Crap!: Mordecai and Rigby when they find out what happens when Starla gets dumped.
- Roaring Rampage of Revenge: After Mordecai dumps Starla harshly, she goes BALLISTIC. She bursts out of the coffee shop, chases after Mordecai, throws several boulders and trees along the way, and only stops trying to kill Mordecai when Muscle Man shows up to calm her down.
- Shower of Angst: Muscle Man after Starla dumps him.
- Tempting Fate: After dumping Starla, Mordecai walks back to Rigby. Rigby asks him how Starla took it. Mordecai responds that she took it well. Not a second later, the bench that Starla was sitting behind of in the coffee shop crashed out of the building and onto the street, and Starla then bursts out of the shop wall. She emerges out of a gaping hole, looking at Mordecai and shrieking loudly with fury.
- Unstoppable Rage: Starla after Mordecai breaks up with her.
- Woman Scorned: Mordecai rejecting Starla causes her to go on a rampage.
