- Continuity Nod: Upon seeing the spare teleporters, Caboose remarks that Tucker hates them, calling back to how he always gets covered in black stuff when teleporting.
- Don't Explain the Joke: While thinking up state names to get in the bunker, Simmons suggests he be "Denial" and tries to explain that he means the state of denial, and kills the joke. Grif remarks, "No man, jokes are funny."
- Samus Is a Girl: Upon discovery CT's corpse, Washington asks, "What's she doing out here?". Season 9 will reveal more on the subject.
