The Meta is on the rampage (Again), and only the Reds and Blues can stop him. But even if they do, what's going to happen to Tex and Church?This episode has examples of
- And the Adventure Continues: The Reds and Blues return to their bases with Wash joining Blue Team, while Church recreates Blood Gulch in the Epsilon unit to find Tex.
- Art Evolution: Church, upon entering the memory unit, creates his own version of Blood Gulch to find Tex in. Unlike the original Blood Gulch, which was done in Halo 1 and Halo 2 machinima, this version is done in the Halo: Reach engine.
- Bait-and-Switch: It initially seems like Wash has died from his injuries against The Meta, until it is revealed he and Church swapped armors and he is now able to avoid jail by faking his death and joining the Blues.
- Bittersweet Ending: the Meta is taken down for good, and Wash is able to avoid jailtime by impersonating Church. The real Church, however, enters the Epsilon unit to find Tex, even though it's more than likely that he'll never succeed.
- Call-Back: Sarge signals the Blood Gulch Crew to use the Warthog's tow cable on the Meta by asking, "Does that look like a big cat to you?"
- Disney Death: At first, it seems like the Meta dragged Grif off the cliff with him. It turns out that Grif managed to use the Brute Shot to hang to the cliff wall.
- Faking the Dead: The Reds and Blues help Wash fake his death by having him put on Church's armor, allowing him to join Blue Team.
- Sixth Ranger: Wash officially joins Blue Team after they helped him fake his death to avoid going back to jail.
