Before Washington can secure a strange alien artifact, a mysterious syndicate known as Viper attacks his base. Meanwhile, Shatter Squad races to pick up a new recruit.

- Car Chase Shoot-Out: East decides to hop on the turret during the drag race.Axel: You pissed her off.
One: (at the same time) I pissed her off. - Easy Listening: Played over the security camera footage before the action starts.
- Evil Brit: Zero, leader of Viper, is the only one with a British accent.
- Evil Laugh: Diesel, the subtitles even say “(maniacal laughter)”.
- Fake Video Camera View: Cut to security camera footage for the actual explosion.
- Giant Equals Invincible: Diesel towers over the guards and is impervious to pretty much everything.
- Immune to Bullets: Diesel is immune to rocket launchers, to say nothing of bullets.
- Impairment Shot: The camera shifts to Carolina POV and goes in and out of focus when Phase defeats her before a blackout when Phase curbstomps her.
- MacGuffin: We don’t know why it’s important, just that the alien artifact they’re guarding is valuable enough for someone to break in and steal.
- Mr. Exposition: The two unnamed guards are only there to explain how Wash is fine after his injury and that they’re guarding an alien artifact, oh and to be killed of course.
- Neck Lift: Diesel chokes Wash against a wall before torturing him.
- Never Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight: More like never bring a stun baton, but tomato potato.
- New Meat: Shatter Squad was tasked with picking up the rookie, Raymond.
- "Open!" Says Me: Diesel breaks down the door to the base with little fuss.
- Physical Fitness Punishment: West tells One to “drop and give me 50”
- Punched Across the Room: Diesel slams Carolina and Wash through a wall.
- Ramp Jump: Shatter Squad clear a ravine during their drag race. One then drives off the road, through a building, and lands in front of the other car.
- Sticky Bomb: Zero sticks a bomb to a guard.
- Take the Wheel: East says this, puts the car in cruise control, and tells Raymond to drive while she hops up to take over the turret.
- Three-Point Landing:
- Diesel does one, followed in rapid succession by Wash and Phase’s 2.5-Point Landings (if you count Phase’s knife as an extension of her body).
- About a minute later Wash does a sliding one.
- Trash Talk: When she starts winning, One says “suck it nerds” and makes the loser L sign on her forehead.
- Unflinching Faith in the Brakes: West stands there unmoving as both vehicles screech to a halt within inches of him.
- Unflinching Walk: Zero does this after setting the base ablaze, complete with cocky nose wipe.
- Vomit Discretion Shot: Raymond vomits in his helmet, which thankfully only he can see.
- Weaponized Teleportation: Phase’s knife allows her to teleport, and she’s very skilled at fighting with it.
- We Can Rebuild Him: Wash has miraculously recovered from his brain injury thanks to “cutting-edge robotics and old kitchen appliances”.
- We Will Meet Again: Phase to Carolina
- Who Are You?: Wash asks this of Phase, then again of Viper as a whole
- You Just Had to Say It: East to Raymond: “You had to open your mouth.”
