While Carolina continues to battle Sharkface, Doyle decides to detonate the reactor himself and lure the Space Pirates further into the city.

- Continuity Nod: Lopez once again shows he is now able to control his body even while headless, like he previously did in "Fed Vs New".
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: Sharkface is abruptly killed when Kimball and Wash shoot him repeatedly after his big speech about getting revenge on Carolina.
- Heroic Rematch: In her last fight with Sharkface, Carolina let her emotions and competitiveness get the better of her and relied more on her armor enhancements than skill, resulting in him having control of most of the fight. Now that she has calmed herself and has a plan against him, as well as him being off his game due to her earlier apology and his signature flamethrowers rendered useless, she is the one who has control of the fight.
- Heroic Sacrifice: After the reactor is damaged by gunfire and left unable to be detonated remotely, Doyle remains in the capital and blows up the reactor manually.
- Killed Off for Real: Sharkface and Doyle.
- Not So Stoic: Locus, who is normally stoic and calm, understandably loses his cool and urgently orders the pilot of the Tartarus to get them out of there when they are told there is a bomb on the nuclear reactor.
- Wham Episode: Armonia is destroyed, killing most of the Space Pirates, and Doyle and Sharkface die.
