"Aren't you a little young to be in this club, Blondie?"
Directed by Monty Oum

"Scathing eyes ask that we be symmetrical, one-sided and easily processed. Yet every misshapen spark's unseen beauty is greater than its would be judgement."

The Fourth and Final Promotional Trailer for Rooster Teeth's web series, RWBY.

Yang's search for answers lead her to a nightclub that is full of mobsters.

Tropes in this trailer include:

  • Bad Guy Bar: The nightclub is a hangout for mobsters and other ne'er-do-wells. Yang goes there because she's heard that the bar manager knows everything about everyone, and she's hoping he knows how to find a person she's looking for.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: When Yang fights Junior's henchmen, she wipes the floor with every single one of them, even though they vastly outnumber her. The only people who give her any trouble are the twins and Junior. Even then, they can't fight her for long before they're defeated.
  • Destination Defenestration: When Yang defeats Junior, she punches him so hard that he flies backwards, carries right through the window and lands on the street a floor below.
  • Flaming Hair: The trailer introduces the audience to the fact that, when powered up, Yang's hair turns to fire.
  • Foreshadowing: The quote at the beginning of the trailer note  hints at Yang's character arc in Volume 4 of the main show.
  • Groin Attack: Yang begins her information gathering with some applied pressure...below Junior's belt.
  • Mooks: Junior is in charge of an army of mobsters, who all wear smart black suits and hats with red ties and sunglasses. They don't serve any purpose other than to showcase how powerful a fighter Yang is. In the main show, they don't serve any other purpose. They're either nameless numbers to be defeated by the heroes, or setting — characters seen in the background while the protagonists drive the plot in the foreground.
  • Nobody Touches the Hair: When Yang realises that Junior has managed to pull out a fistful of her beloved golden hair, her eyes turn red, her hair explodes with fire and the scene becomes bleached of colour as if Yang has turned white-hot with rage. The power-punch she deals him sends him flying across the room and through a window to land heavily on the far side of the street below.
  • Power Fist: Her gauntlet guns are introduced in a close-up that reveals how they work. They appear as wrist bracers until activated, whereupon they extend to cover her arm from elbow to knuckles. With an ammo belt around each wrist, she can augment her punches with explosive bullets and reload with a flick of her wrists.
  • The Reveal: The trailer ends with Junior being punched through a window to land on the street outside at the feet of the nameless girl from the Red Trailer. When Yang comes out of the bar, the girl calls out to her. Yang's response reveals that the two girls are actually sisters.
  • Schmuck Bait: Right after Yang interrogates Junior via a Groin Attack, she follows after him insisting she was only kidding and offers to kiss and make up with him. Junior is shocked by this sudden offer but accepts it and starts to lean in for the promised kiss, only for Yang to sucker punch him across the room.
  • Solar and Lunar: The trailer ends at dawn with the silver-eyed, wolf-themed Ruby facing Yang from below the moon and the yellow-coded, fire-themed Yang facing Ruby from beside the rising sun.
  • Supermodel Strut: Yang's entrance into the nightclub consists of the camera being focussed on the sight of a feminine silhouette approaching with only two details being emphasised: golden hair and swaying hips. When the doors open to reveal her properly, she continues the swaying walk as the camera slowly zooms in towards her.

Ruby: What are you doing here?
Yang: It's a long story.
