Kate, her father Peter, and Magic are having a jog in the park. As Peter takes a rest, Kate and Magic go out to find Ava, but to no avail. A frisbee homes in on Kate, which Magic thankfully catches. A boy, named, Liam, walks up to Kate and apologizes to her. In their conversation, Liam explains that he was supposed to play catch with his father, but he is busy with a phone call and wouldn’t listen to him. He gives the frisbee to Kate, to where another Friendship Trail enters the Friendship Heart.

Kate and Magic return to Pocketville only to land on a pile of pillows, that being Danny’s idea. In the Ever Grey Swamp, Eva finds an image of a St. Bernard on her half and goes to alert her lackeys, only to see that they were brawling in her hideout. Back in Pocketville, the Pocketpedia activates and shows a page showing not a pet, but a frisbee. Kate throws the frisbee out the window, where it hovers down to the town and catches the attention of several dogs, who chase it down. Kate and her friends head out of the castle, at first disappointed to see so many dogs clouding around the frisbee, but then see Otto, a St. Bernard, emerge from the pack with the frisbee in his mouth. They speak with him about being sent to Liam as his companion, to which he accepts. However, Otto then says he has to say his farewells to his relatives who live in the mountains.

Kate and her friends head to the mountains, only for Magic and the Royal Guards to get pushed away by an avalanche— which was caused by a giant snowball being pushed down by Zull and Gort. Kate encounters Eva and her gang, but thanks to the help of a frisbee, manages to lure Zull and Gort away. Another St. Bernard, Hugo, comes to the rescue of Kate’s friends and helps Otto with recovering them from the snow.

Otto is sent to Liam via the Friendship Ceremony, and meets him at the park. He gets the attention of Liam’s father by grabbing the phone from his hand and playing around. Then, Kate appears with Magic by her side and gives the frisbee back to Liam. Eventually, Kate and her family return home as a thunderstorm will arrive soon, worrying about how Ava will find shelter.

Tropes featured in the episode:

  • Artistic License: Zull and Gort push a massive snowball down a slope to create an avalanche that traps Magic and the Royal Guards. Realistically, there would need to be specific weather conditions in order for an avalanche to occur from a big snowball rolling downhill. Not only this, but Magic and the Royal Guards would get seriously injured, and Kate and Otto would also have to be affected by the high winds as real-life avalanches are much more dangerous.
    • How the pets are rescued is rather unrealistic as well, especially since only two St Bernards go to rescue Magic and the Guards, who just shake off the snow like it's nothing. In real-life, the thickness of the snow would make it difficult to rescue someone without at least three people to help.
  • It May Help You on Your Quest: The frisbee. Kate is given it by Liam but at first doesn’t know why she was given it, but it eventually proves to be helpful on deciding what dog gets to be chosen for Liam and distracting Zull and Gort.
  • One-Word Title: “Frisbee”, which is the important toy Kate uses in her quest.
  • Parental Obliviousness: Liam’s father was so busy with his phone call that he didn’t notice the frisbee his son tossed to him.
