When Christine Johnson takes over the ARC in search of the Artifact, Connor, Abby, Danny, and Sarah flee to a safehouse in the woods to safeguard it. Unfortunately for them, an anomaly opens up nearby, unleashing a flock of ten-foot tall Terror Birds.
- Conveniently Empty Roads: The team at one point have a high-speed car chase along an abandoned and isolated country road in the forest (in fact, the team are in this location because they're currently on the run from the authorities) while being chased by a Terror Bird. Naturally, it'd be surprising both In-Universe and out if any other vehicles did come along.
- Feathered Fiend: The aptly-named Terror Birds. The show doesn't identify their species, although
fanon suggests they are either Phorusrhacos or Titanis. - 10-Minute Retirement: Lester goes through this when Christine takes control of the ARC on the Minister's orders. He's reinstated by the end of the episode.
- The Mole: Becker becomes this when Christine takes over the ARC. He ends up exposing her to the Minister by recording her insulting him.
