- History Repeats: Corey convinced Angela to get a tattoo of her initials, lying to her that the others were also getting them and leaving her at the tattoo parlor by the time she had already gotten it. She also scarred her daughter by making her undergo surgery for her scoliosis for her ballet aspirations despite it being unnecessary, which left Faran with a scar on her back and chronic pain.
- Imagine Spot: Tabby one of the Rosewood High football player and her going on a date and then forcing himself on her in his car due to the trauma from her sexual assault when he asks her out for coffee.
- My Beloved Smother: Cory wants Faran to succeed in ballet, and had her in tutus by the age of 6, undergo spinal fusion surgery for her scoliosis, and schedule a consult with a plastic surgeon for her surgical scar. Finding out from A that she didn't need it and the doctors recommended against it has Faran call out Corey in her performance bio, leading her to get into a car accident.
- Physical Scars, Psychological Scars: Faran has a long back scar due to her corrective scoliosis surgery, which left her with chronic pain, as a child. Learning the surgery was unnecessary and her mom went through with it anyways makes Faran depict it as a sign of her mom's unrelenting quest for perfection in her bio for Swan Lake.
- Shared Universe: Eddie Lamb mentions that when Radley Sanitarium closed down, some of the patients were transferred to Sisters of Quiet Mercy in Riverdale, establishing a shared continuity between this show and that one.
- Stalker without a Crush: Steve stalks Mouse despite her making it clear he'd only have one meeting, following her to her date with Ash at the bowling alley and the Swan Lake performance.
