As Z continues trying to help Sam, Cruger reveals a truth concerning the Rangers.

- All Take and No Give: When Bugglesworth turns Z into a doll, Mora receives Z's doll and shows it to Gruumm, who snatches it for himself as a trophy, much to Mora's anger which quickly becomes amusement when the doll disappears.
- Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Syd apparently has one.Syd: No wonder my mom's so weird.
- Big "WHAT?!": Gruumm says this when Z's doll (actually a double) vanishes from his hand. Much to Mora's amusement.
- Body Double: Z uses one of her clones to talk to Sam, and she gets turned into a doll instead of the real Z by Bugglesworth.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Z reveals to have one, as years before meeting Jack, she as a child was shunned by her powers and bullied by other kids, much like Sam, and when she escaped from school, she bumped into an alien who scared her but fortunately for her she was saved by a hooded figure. Which is soon revealed to be Cruger.
- Foreshadowing: At the end of the episode Sam has just joined the SPD academy and swears to B-Squad that he too will one day be a Power Ranger like them. Come a few episodes later...
- Mysterious Protector: Z as a child was saved from an alien by a hooded man, which is revealed to be Cruger.
- New Powers as the Plot Demands: Z makes use of a unique ability with her morpher, making a force field orb which she uses to trap some Krybots in and crush them. This ability isn't used anymore throughout the season.
- The Reveal: All of B-Squad (and Sam) are the children of SPD scientists who’s ere exposed to radiation from an experiment which gave them their genetic powers.
