  • Batman Gambit: After getting free of the machine, Sophie is still cornered by Valko. She unleashes a hypersonic scream. Valko is unbothered by this, but attacking him wasn't the point; she knew Doggie would be able to hear it and know exactly where to find her.
  • Big "NO!": Mora over Grumm punishing her in a way she will absolutely hate.
  • The Cameo: One of the patrons at Piggy's is a Tenga Warrior.
  • Cruel Mercy: Grumm warned Mora there would be a price for failure, but after the Rangers prevail, he won't kill her. He subjects her to Growing Up Sucks instead, something she positively hates.
  • Disappointed in You: Doogie over the "It" Is Dehumanizing example, angrily ordering his cadets to bring back Sophie and remarking they still have so much to learn.
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: The Rangers suddenly realize just what the monster is looking for.
    Bridge: Series One Processor...
    Jack: Hyper...
    Z: Intelligent...
    Syd: Encryptor!
  • Fantastic Racism: Obviously there with Sky in particular against Sophie as she's a cyborg.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: Before blasting Mora for failing, Grumm makes a grown-up pun. Mora is quickly transformed into her original self.
  • Fun with Acronyms: The monster's looking for a Series One Processor/Hyper-Intelligent Encryptor. The Rangers realize too late he means expelled cadet Sophie.
  • Growing Up Sucks: Mora's punishment is to be transformed into Morgana. Her "How could you?!" whining indicates it is a very effective punishment.
  • "Hey, You!" Haymaker: Just as Valko is about to erase Sophie, his arm is suddenly grabbed.
Doggie: No! It's not nice to pick on people.
  • Hope Spot: When Valko comes through looking for Sophie, Piggy claims she ran off in a given direction. When Valko threatens to shoot him dead, Piggy reveals which table that Sophie is hiding under.
  • Ignored Epiphany: After Valko subdues Sophie because he ratted her out, Piggy appears to have a My God, What Have I Done? moment. He then remarks that such moments pass quickly, and he's back to focusing on his work. He does later tell the Rangers where Sophie is being held, but he only does so as part of gaining a favor for himself and doesn't explain what really happened.
  • "It" Is Dehumanizing: When informing Commander Cruger that Sophie is a cyborg and they banished her, Sky corrects himself and refers to her as it. Cruger immediately berates Sky and says that just because she is a cyborg does not make her the enemy and to bring her back.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Piggy puts things in perspective for the Rangers when they scare off his customers.
Sky: Why are they afraid of us? They're the monsters!
Piggy: Humans! You're so ethnocentric! Don't you realize that to them, you're the monsters? (grabs photo of Sophie) Take her for instance. She looks human but you refer to her as a cyborg. Is she nothing more to you than circuits and wires?
  • Late to the Realization: In exchange for telling the Rangers where Valko took Sophie, Piggy wants them to stay away from his place for an entire year. Jack uses some rapid-fire back-and-forth to trick him into agreeing to one day instead. It's only after the Rangers head off to the Whispering Woods that Piggy realizes he got scammed.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: The Rangers realize that by banishing Sophie, they made it substantially easier for Valko to achieve his objective and threatening the city.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Piggy only briefly felt bad about ratting Sophie out to Valko. He later tells the Rangers where to find her not out of guilt, but only in the hopes of getting a favor for himself.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: All of Piggy's customers bail the second the Rangers show up, much to his supreme frustration.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: After Doggie gets Sophie away from Valko.
    Valko: She's not a person! She's just a cyborg!
Doggie: And you're just a criminal! SPD Emergency!
  • Villainous Breakdown: After being so smug and condescending, Valko whines like a petulant child over being imprisoned.
  • Wham Shot: After assorted hints up to now, Grumm transforms Mora back into what she once was: a full-grown woman named Morgana.
