Trakeena sends out Chameliac, a robot that can copy the Rangers' powers and moves and use it against them. Meanwhile, Villamax and Kegler are building a laser to use against the Galactabeasts.
This episode includes examples of:
- Big Damn Heroes: Mike attacks the site before Villamax can activate the laser.
- Death Ray: What the villains are building is revealed to be a laser powerful enough to destroy the Galactabeasts.
- Hoist by Their Own Petard: While Chameliac is capable of using a ranger's moves and weapons against them, he is unable to do so if the Ranger uses a move their teammate uses. Even the Stratoforce Megazord uses this against the monster by bringing Centarus's cannon instead of their usual boomerang.
- I Owe You My Life: The Lion Galactabeast appears to Mike at the end of the episode to thank him for destroying the laser.
- Innocuously Important Episode: If you pay attention to the music when the Stratoforce Megazord is sent out, it's "Best Of The Best" which was used in Power Rangers In Space. This serves as a subtle Foreshadowing for next episode.
- Power Copying: The Chameliac Warrior is capable of copying the rangers battle skills, weapons, and moves against them.
- This Cannot Be!: The Chameliac Warrior's reaction to the Galactabeasts not being destroyed.
