  • Big Damn Heroes: As Diabolico and Olympius are about to finish off the others, Dana and Kelsey arrive in the Lifeforce Megazord.
  • Black Eyes of Evil: Diabolico when under the control of Olympius (at least in US footage).
  • Darkest Hour: The combined might of Diabolico and Olympius total each of the Rangers' Megazords. It takes an all-new Megazord to give the Rangers a fighting chance.
  • Determinator: Emerging from the wreckage of the Lightspeed Solarzord, Carter confronts the giant demons and declares, "My Megazord's down, but I'm not!"
  • The End... Or Is It?: The key that Diabolico attempted to give Carter returns to the ancient ruins, where markings depict Bansheera beside of a box full of rising demons. Also, Jinxer reveals he stuck a Batling card on the Lifeforce Megazord's leg to give them a surprise at the Aquabase.
  • Evil Laugh: Both Olympius and Diabolico when growing.
  • Evil vs. Evil: Diabolico and Olympius have a duel to the finish. Olympius just barely manages to win, but rather than finish Diabolico, he takes him back to Bansheera for a little brainwashing.
  • Fair-Play Villain: When challenging him to the duel, Olympius first tosses Diabolico a staff.
  • Flashback: To the last episode when Carter makes Diabolico remember what happened to Loki.
  • Foreshadowing: Diabolico attempts to give Carter a key and alludes to how it can be used to defeat Bansheera. The key later returns to the ancient ruins that the demons were released from in the first place.
  • Hypocrite: Bansheera denounces Diabolico as a traitor, even though she was the one that betrayed him by causing Loki's demise.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: During the first fight, Carter manages to get through to Diabolico by reminding him of what Bansheera did to Loki and Vypra. Doesn't work the second time, though.
  • Make My Monster Grow: Even after Diabolico with Olympius are blasted to pieces, Bansheera manages to make them "grow with even more power than before."
  • Plot Hole: Somehow, Carter learned that Bansheera destroyed Vypra, even though no one aside from Jinxer was there.
  • Pragmatic Villainy:
    • Diabolico still hates the Rangers, but he now hates Bansheera even more and tries to give Carter the means to defeat her.
    • Olympius loathes Diabolico and wanted a duel to the finish, but it occurred to him that sparing him now would mean being able to use him against the Rangers later.
  • Revenge: Olympius admits he wants payback for Diabolico trapping him in the Shadow World.
  • Something We Forgot: In the previous episode, no one but Jinxer saw what became of Vypra and neither Diabolico nor Loki questioned how Bansheera regained her full form. While in the woods mourning Loki, Diabolico appears to have figured it out and mentions Vypra as being another one of Bansheera's victims.
  • Stealth Insult: After being told of the Batling card, Bansheera says Jinxer finally did something right.
Jinxer: Thank you, my Queen... I guess.
  • Taking the Bullet: Carter uses the last of the Lightspeed Solarzord's power to shield a building full of people from Olympius and Diabolico's combined blast. He survives the experience; the Megazord doesn't.
  • Villainous Rescue: Diabolico shoves Carter out of the way before Olympius can open fire. He gets blown up in the process.
  • We Meet Again: Teleporting onto the scene, Olympius remarks how "good" it is to see the Rangers again.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Subverted. When Jinxer says he doesn't have any more monster cards, Bansheera says he's no longer of use and prepares to kill him. When he tells her about the Batling card surprise, she's so happy that she opts to spare him instead.
