The Rangers race to use the keycards to find some new zords that they can use to fight against Darkonda, being followed Astronema's forces along the way, while on Earth Alpha tries to fight Darkonda in the Astro Megazord.

- Bittersweet Ending: The Rangers get a new Megazord, but the Astro Megaship has been badly damaged and will need time to fully repair, which Astronema plans to exploit.

Series Hiatus: The show came back from one of these, over the summer of 1998, so viewers had to wait to see the conclusion from "Flashes of Darkonda". - Spared by the Adaptation: Darkonda's Megaranger counterpart, Guirail, had his final appearance in the Megaranger version of this episode. In PRiS, his further appearances, excluding episode 21note , are all American footage only.
- The Watson: Astronema, when the card gambler from Onyx recounts to her the events leading up to the Rangers receiving the key cards, to acquaint viewers who missed the first part of the arc.
