After Void Knight's Zord Jammer blocks access to their Zords, the Rangers realize they need the Ptera Freeze Zord. But to get the Zord, Javi has to make a deal with an insufferable musician while dealing with his father's disdain over his music hobby.

- Adaptational Species Change: The Zord Jammer's Sentai counterpart is a Minosaur, but here it's not a Sporix Beast and is more of a mindless machine.
- Both Sides Have a Point: Javi and Carlos Garcia patch things up after they realize the other was right about their sides. Carlos realizes that he has not been supportive of Javi of his music and after seeing the recording thanks to Jane, he wants to change. On the other hand, Javi realizes that Carlos was right that he has been drifting around musical instruments with no real focus and decides to make music his true calling instead of it being a hobby.
- The Bus Came Back: Doomsnake, a minor Sporix Beast from "Unexpected Guest," returns.
- Calling the Old Man Out: When Carlos berates Javi for missing out on the medal ceremony for a music gig, Javi has enough and calls him out for never supporting his music hobby.
- Hypocrite: Javi calls his dad one in their argument after Carlos accuses him of not supporting him for the medal ceremony.
- I Gave My Word: The musician with the Freeze Key agrees to hand it over to the Rangers… if Javi fills in as his guitarist. When Javi does so and they create a smash hit stream, he hands the key over, no questions asked.
- Idiot Ball: Izzy, who is supposed to be keeping what Javi's up to secret from their dad, decides the best thing to do is start watching the livestream of Javi's performance right behind him. Naturally, the minute Carlos turns around, he sees what Izzy's watching and is pretty dang upset.
- Impeded Communication: A rather massive one called Zord Jammer. As the name implies, it has the ability to block all signals of Zords that are currently under the ranger command.
- Mid-Season Upgrade: Santaura turns herself into Void Queen using the power of the Sporix.
- Priceless Paperweight: One of the Ranger keys has wound up in the hands of a jerkass musician, who recognizes it's a Ranger thing, but keeps it as a keychain because he thinks it looks cool.
