Recap / Power Rangers Dino Fury Episode Thirty Two Losers Weepers

Go To

Izzy and Aiyon get into a spat after finding a case full of cash. Meanwhile, Void Queen unleashes a powerful Sporix Beast, forcing the Rangers to use a dangerous Ultrazord configuration to defeat her.

Episode Tropes:

  • Big Eater: Flapnarok gets bored fighting the Rangers and instead, in proper kaiju fashion, decides she's going to go eat New York.
  • Call-Back: Void Queen reveals that Flapnarok is the sister to Draknarok. Oh, and she doesn't remember what his name was.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: The Primal Ultrazord configuration. It combines the T-Rex, Mosa, and Ptera Zords, but the combination is so volatile that the last time it launched an attack 65 million years ago, it killed Zayto and Aiyon's teammates. Thankfully, Solon uses modern-day technology to adjust the power of the Ultrazord, making it more stable and less likely to kill the Rangers.
  • Exact Eavesdropping: The episode begins with Izzy and Aiyon nearly stumbling on Area 62, finding some old briefcases filled with stuff. Once they're gone, Mucus pops up from behind a tree, having been following them and deciding to steal the weird collar they weren't interested in.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Zayto and Aiyon are reluctant to use the Primal Ultrazord given what happened last time, but they decide the situation leaves them no choice, and fortunately Solon's figured out how to prevent it killing them all this time.
  • Internal Reveal: Zayto thoroughly explains to the Rangers what happened in the final days of the Sporix Wars.
  • Lampshade Hanging: A little fun is poked at the stock footage used when Flapnarok is apparently hit so hard she's catapulted straight from the ocean into space, and has no idea what the heck just happened.
  • Make My Monster Grow: A spikey collar that can make monsters grow to giant size, apparently made by the scientists of Area 62.
  • Missed Him by That Much: Izzy and Aiyon have no idea how close they came to discovering Void Queen's hideout.
  • No-Sell: The fight between the Ultrazord and Flapnarok temporarily goes into the ocean. Flapnarok shrugs it off with a throwaway line about having gills.
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: The Primal Ultrazord punches Flapnarok into space, then into the Moon, then blasts her with a truly spectacular amount of energy.
