Go To

A huge trash spill at the beach endangers the local wildlife while Scrozzle sets about finding reinforcements.

Episode Tropes:

  • Back from the Dead: Avatar Blaze and Avatar Roxy are restored as robots.
  • Body Backup Drive: Scrozzle reveals that the machine he used to create Robo-Blaze and Robo-Roxy can also download their data into fresh robot bodies in the event they are destroyed.
Robo-Roxy: [after getting activated again] We're ba-ack! [looks at her body and surroundings, confused] ...AGAIN!
  • Call-Back: Zoey being a Nature Lover ("End of the Road") is brought up again.
  • Dramatic Irony: Devon assures the real Blaze and Roxy that their robot duplicates have been destroyed, but Nate has a feeling it isn't the end of it. Indeed, Scrozzle has revived the Robo Generals, with the Rangers currently unaware.
  • Foreshadowing: Scrozzle warns Evox of two problems with his possessing a human form: 1) His exposure to DNA corrupts and weakens his code. And 2) In the event he runs out of Morph X, he may change back in public. Both end up coming into play later in the season.
  • Green Aesop: Much like the previous season's "End of the Road", this episode has an environmental message, this time regarding polluting the ocean with trash.
  • Heel Realization: After seeing a sea turtle sick from eating plastic, Regina finally realizes she needs to take responsibility for the accident and agrees to give the marine center the funding it needs.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: The Rangers destroy Robo-Blaze and Robo-Roxy, but not only does Scrozzle get away with a large amount of Morph-X, but Robo-Blaze and Robo-Roxy's data are simply downloaded into new bodies.
  • Same Language Dub: The dockworker is overdubbed by Beth Allen, who was previously the love interest of two different Rangers.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: When Regina refuses to donate money to the marine center, Roxy goes behind her back and sends the money anyway. She does regret it, though.
  • Single-Stroke Battle: The Ultrazord's battle against Trapperdrone is extremely quick and very one-sided (this is due to the Hyper Space Dome elements being removed from the Go-Busters fight footage). The Ultrazord uses Ultra-Strike to take out the Gigadrone in a single blow.
  • Sticky Situation: Ben and Betty's suntan lotion ends up being extremely sticky. They use it to help pick up the garbage on the beach.
  • Unreveal Angle: The identity of Evox's human host body is concealed from viewers.
  • You Have Failed Me: Subverted. After Robo-Blaze and Robo-Roxy are seemingly killed in their first fight with the Rangers, Evox threatens to destroy Scrozzle, but stops when Scrozzle reveals he can easily bring the two Robo Generals back to life.
