This episode provides examples of:

  • Backing Away Slowly: Papi and Popee both do this when Kedamono approaches them. Somewhat more disturbing by the fact that this is the only time either of them regard him with fear.
  • Berserk Button: Kedamono goes completely out of control when his face is seen by Frog.
  • Blank Stare: Everyone gives this to Kedamono when Frog is about to tell them what Kedamono's face looks like.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Kedamono crosses this once Frog tells everyone what his face looks like. Popee follows shortly afterwards.
  • Eaten Alive: Kedamono does this to Frog to keep him from revealing to the others what he saw. Unfortunately for him, it doesn't work.
  • Fading Away: Everyone except for Kedamono and Popee does this at the end.
  • Smash to Black: How the episode ends right as Popee crosses the Despair Event Horizon.
  • Suddenly Speaking / Suddenly Voiced: Frog is so shocked at seeing Kedamono's face that he says the only lines of dialogue in the entire series.
Kedamono no kao wa...okāsan ni datta yo.note
  • Toilet Humor: Kedamono farts out Frog, who visibly sticks halfway out of his shorts.
  • The Unreveal: Finally, Frog is about to tell everyone what’s under Kedamono’s mask- but he’s Interrupted by the End, and that’s the last episode of the entire show.
