• Curb-Stomp Battle: Misdreavus vs Entei: Misdreavus stops Entei from running with a Mean Look then follows with Psybeam...which completely fails to harm Entei. Entei then Roars at the charging Misdreavus which forces the Ghost-type back to its Pok´ Ball and allows the Fire-type to escape.
• Mythology Gag: Entei using Roar to force Misdreavus back to its Ball and escape while negating Mean Look's effect is a reference to in the games, if you keep Entei from running, it'll still use Roar to force your Pokémon out of the battle and escape.
• No-Sell: Entei is unaffected by Misdreavus's Psybeam.
• Oh, Crap!: Team Rocket's response when they realize that Entei's angry at them for trying to abduct the Pokémon at the hot spring.
• Took a Level in Badass: Pineco evolves into Forretress in this episode.
