Our heroes chance upon a Hoppip—the fluffy "Cottonweed" Pokémon that is able to drift for miles on a passing wind. The Trainer of this Pokémon, whom they meet soon after, uses it and several others of its kind to help her forecast the weather.
Tropes
- An Aesop: Everyone has different abilities and strengths, and not being able to do something, or not being good at it, doesn't mean you are weak or useless.
- Do Not Touch the Funnel Cloud: Naturally, the tornado isn't dangerous until it makes direct contact with something.
- I Just Want to Be Special: Oddish is upset with itself for not being able to fly like its Hoppip friends.
- Pintsized Powerhouse: What Oddish shows itself to be, as it takes down all Team Rocket's pokemon without breaking a sweat.
