Japanese Title: Jump! Koiking / Put it On! Yadoking
Original Airdate: June 28, 2020
US Airdate: December 4, 2020
Goh participates in a contest to see whose Magikarp has the greatest jump via its Splash attack. Following this, Ash and Goh visit Slowpoke Island.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Ash at one point reads the script for the second short, with Gou getting annoyed that Ash is reading his lines.
- Breather Episode: Ash and Goh aren't involved in any battles or Team Rocket schemes.
- Brick Joke: Goh's Magikarp re-enters orbit at the end of the second short.
- *Crack!* "Oh, My Back!": Happens to a Machamp when two are carrying away Magikarp's training weights.
- Funny Background Event: Raboot's expressions during the whole Magikarp short.
- Gratuitous English: How Goh and Ash speak when the Shellder crown/hat is on them in the original version.
- They go even more English in the English dub by turning British.
- Mythology Gag: The first short is one to Magikarp Jump, a game focusing on a contest entirely devoted to Magikarp and their jumping/splashing prowess.
- Non-Standard Game Over: Goh lost the contest because his Magikarp Splashed so high, it went into space and couldn't come down.
- Only Sane Man: Raboot during the first short, who is unimpressed by the Magikarp contest overall.
- Power Limiter: Goh's Magikarp trained with a weight on its fin. Ash questions when he put it on.
- Quarter Hour Short: The first episode to have this format.
- Shout-Out: After putting on the crown/helmet, Ash and Goh are pretty much in a constant JoJo's Bizarre Adventure pose.
