- Big Brother Instinct: Naturally, when Noivern is defeated, Hawlucha jumps out of his Poké Ball to tend to him. This leads to him facing Weavile.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Pikachu quite soundly defeats Alain's Tyranitar.
- Double Knockout: Talonflame and Alain's Unfezant battle to a draw, both fainting at the same time.
