The group races into the Hidden Temple to stop Doom Raizer in the conclusion of their battle with Team Shadow. But are they already too late?
- The Bad Guy Wins: Despite the group's efforts, Doom Raizer sucessfully obtains the artifact that was in the temple and escapes with it, and the group is still no closer to finding out what Team Shadow's master plan is.
- I Fight for the Strongest Side!: A flashback at the start of the chapter reveals that Doom Raizer joined Team Shadow after Sombra defeated him in a Pokémon battle, and he offered to make Doom even stronger if he joined him.
- Power Trio: The rooms in the temple each have defense statues based on several Legendary Pokémon trios.
- Rule of Three: There are three groups of fake Legendary Pokémon that must be defeated to get to the artifact in the temple.
- Suicune, Entei, and Raikou.
- Regirock, Registeel, and Regice.
- Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion.
- Took a Level in Badass: Hopper learns Iron Tail while fighting the fake Legendaries.
- Villainous Rescue: After Doom Raizer obtains the artifact and rushes out of the collapsing temple, Chrysalis shows up in a helicopter and more grunts, having defeated the Pokémon the group left behind already, and throws a rope ladder down for Doom and the grunts to escape with her.
- Wham Episode: Team Shadow sucessfully obtains the artifact from the temple, and it is revealed to be half of the Crystal Heart, which Team Shadow refers to as a Heart Fragment. Cadance also reports to Sombra, unaware of his evil status, and reports she and her team are close to discovering The Crystal Empire.
