Flash and Twilight's ever growing feud reaches its climax, which threatens to tear their friendship, and their whole group, apart. Meanwhile, the next camp activity is a night trek up to an ancient shrine on the mountain, but that night on a full moon an ancient evil Pokémon is released from its seal in the shrine.
- Big Damn Heroes: There are multiple, all saving someone from Piedoom.
- Flash and Springer arrive just in time to save Twilight and Shine from Piedoom.
- When Piedoom tries to attack Flash, he is saved by the rest of his Pokémon arriving to help, being led by Gloriosa, Celestia, Luna, and Sunset.
- Lightning and Chimplug save Springer from Piedoom when it tries one last time to blast him. But this is downplayed a bit by Lightning saying he was just trying to catch Piedoom.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Timber blatantly tries to steal Twilight and the rest of Flash's friends from him. He invites Twilight to join him on his own journey after camp is done, not caring how much this will set Flash back if he joins them or if he will end up traveling by himself if he doesn't.
- Bittersweet Ending: The chapter ends with Piedoom returning to its seal and Flash apologizing to Twilight for their argument. But Twilight is left uncertain of what to do now on whether she should stay with Flash or travel with Timber instead.
- Dirty Coward: Timber becomes completely frozen in fear by Piedoom and doesn't do anything to try to save Twilight and Shine, with the two of them needing to be saved by Flash.
- Expy: Piedoom is based on Piedmon.
- Feud Episode: The entire Camp Everfree arc up to this point has essentially been a "Feud Arc" between Flash and Twilight, but this chapter is when it is at its worst. The two of them get into a huge argument with each other that ends with the two of them saying they would be just fine if they stopped traveling together, and refuse to speak to each other, or even be near each other, for the rest of the day.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: Piedoom disappeared suddenly, with Celestia assuming it went back to wherever it goes when it is sealed since it knew it couldn't win when there were so many of them against it.
- Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: The tensions between Flash and Twilight that started ever since they arrived at camp reach a peak, and the two of them get into a huge argument that threatens to tear their friendship and their whole group apart.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: A Piedoom was sealed away in the ancient shrine in the mountains long ago. But due to a flaw in the seal, Piedoom is able to retake its form on nights with a full moon until the sun rises.
