- Early-Installment Weirdness: In the same vein as Titanium Menasor, he picks on Universe Silverbolt primarily for its color scheme, stating the toy itself is actually pretty good. In subsequent reviews, he sticks to bad toys, regardless of their color scheme, though sometimes he intentionally chooses a bad toy with a worse repaint.
- Good Colors, Evil Colors: Lampshaded. TJ says the color scheme looks very "toxic" and doesn't suit a 'good guy' Transformer in the least. Considering how few purple Autobots there are in the franchise, he kinda has a point.
