With Ferb's skateboard left in England, the boys create a transporter that teleports anything in a photograph to them. Candace takes this as an advantage to bust her brothers by teleporting Mom there so that she's literally in the project. Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz builds a Mime-inator to literally trap mimes in invisible boxes.
Tropes:
- Actor Allusion: Baljeet's uncle being named Maulik is a reference to Baljeet's voice actor, whose name is Maulik Pancholy.
- Answer Cut:Candace: I’ve got to tell Mom! Now where did she say she was going again?
(Cut to the Mexican Jewish Cultural Festival.) - Aside Glance: Buford looks to the camera after Ferb shoots the apple on his head by taking a picture with his camera.
- Complexity Addiction: When Phineas and Ferb tell Lawrence about their plan to build a complex transporter device, Lawrence says, "Well, why don't you just build a new skateboard?". After an awkward moment of silence, we get this:Phineas: Naah, I don't think so.
Ferb: If it's all the same with you, father, we're going to build the machine. - Chekhov's Gun: Major Monogram prints Perry a photograph of the Mime-inator to show how evil it is; at the end of the episode, Perry runs the photo through Phineas and Ferb's photo transporter to teleport it away before Doofenshmirtz can use it.
- Continuity Nod:
- Phineas tells Ferb he must have left his skateboard behind the last time they went to England.
- When Doofenshmirtz traps Perry in an invisible box, he acknowleges that he's already trapped Perry in an invisible cage, but insists that it's different because this time he's using a box.
- Counterpoint Duet: The last verse of "Mexican Jewish Cultural Festival" becomes this.
- Didn't See That Coming: Candace didn't know by the time she uses the transporter to teleport Linda home, she was wearing a blindfold trying to whack a piñata; so not only does she get teleported home, she begins running around the backyard swinging her bat trying to find the piñata, and everyone, including Candace, is chased by her.
- End-of-Episode Silliness: See Gratuitous Rap.
- "Eureka!" Moment: One look at her photo booth picture gives Candace inspiration to teleport Linda home.
- Everyone Hates Mimes: Doofenshmirtz decides to build the Mime-inator after a mime followed him and imitated his mannerisms so well that people started laughing at Doofenshmirtz.
- Gratuitous Rap: When Candace sputters her signature Rapid-Fire "But!" at being denied her foolproof bust, Baljeet spontaneously raps along with her about how Linda mistook him for a piñata and almost attacked him, with Phineas and Ferb providing the beat.
- Literal Metaphor: The episode begins with Phineas and Ferb having literally turned the garage upside down looking for Ferb's skateboard.
- Mundane Utility: Played with. At first, Doofenshmirtz used his Mime-inator to only trap mimes, but after seeing how well it worked, decided to use it to use to take over the Tri-State area.
- Overly Long Gag: Candace's "Bu-bu-bu-bu-but...!" when her busting fails. Also her "Aha!" when she repeatedly looks at a picture of Mom and shows it to her.
- Parental Abandonment: Subverted. Baljeet claims to have found his missing Uncle Maulik thanks to Phineas and Ferb's invention, but it turns out Maulik was just on vacation.
- Patter Song: Part of the Mexican Jewish Cultural Festival song is this.
- Poor Communication Kills:
- When Candace takes Linda's picture and she goes "Aha!" over and over:
Linda: Aw, it's nice to see you giving up your obsession with the boys and getting into the spirit of things.- Lawrence asks Linda if she's aware that Phineas and Ferb have turned the garage upside down. Thinking he's being metaphorical, Linda says "As long as they clean up after!".
- Self Botched Catchphrase: Doofenshmirtz flubbed his "And by unexpected, I mean completely expected!" catchphrase when Perry shows up this time around:Doofenshmirtz: Oh, big surprise! Perry the Platypus! And by "surprise", I mean completely... Uhhh... uhhh, I got nothin'.
- Shout-Out:
- While testing out their teleporter, Phineas and Ferb accidentally merge Buford with a fly.
- Doofenshmirtz hears a tapping on the window and assumes that it's "that pesky raven again".
- Spanner in the Works:
- Phineas ends up disrupting Perry's attempt to stop Doofenshmirtz by teleporting him before he could press the Mime-inator's self destruct button. Fortunately, Perry managed to use the teleporter to get the Mime-inator away from Doofenshmirtz before he could trap everyone with it.
- Candace's plan to bust her brothers would've worked if a) Perry had pressed the Mime-inator's self destruct button before being teleported, and b) Linda hadn't worn a blindfold by the time she got teleported.
- Teleporter Accident:
- When trying out their invention on their first human subject, Phineas and Ferb accidentally teleport Buford along with a fly that's nearby, causing the two to merge together. They quickly restore him back to normal, though.Phineas: Sorry, Buford. Are you all right?
Buford: I have a weird craving for something stinky.
Phineas: He's all right. - The brothers manage to teleport Ferb's skateboard from England, but they accidentally took their grandpa's feet along. They managed to send the feet back, but they end up attached backwards.

- William Telling: Played with.Buford: Bet you can't shoot this apple off my head.
[Ferb takes a photograph of the apple, shows it to Buford]
Beat
Buford: Hmm. Not really what I meant, but okay.
[Ferb puts the photo into the machine]
Buford: But I still got my apple here, William Tell!
[The machine shoots a ray that teleports the apple off of Buford's head, along with a tiny bit of his hair]
Buford: Nice buzz cut. High and tight!
- Nerd ain't no piñata!
