The boys create a machine that translates Animal Talk to English in hopes that they can understand what Perry is trying to say. They get sidetracked helping the animals of the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz opens the Danville Dam to flood the Tri-State Area, forcing everyone to buy his newest invention, Buoyancy Operated Aquatic Transport, or a BO-AT.

- Animals Hate Her: First, Candace was attacked by Suzy's poodle, who was trained to purposely hurt her and keep her away from her Jeremy. After that, she comes into the yard and heckles animals, and how stupid they are... Unfortunately, she didn't realize that the animals were hearing her thoughts because of the boys' translation. Which results in the animals chasing her across town until they're caught in Doof's BO-AT.
- Art Shift: Jeremy's nose outline is made brown in this episode just like Candace's.
- Aside Glance: Perry rolls one at the camera when Doofenshmirtz reveals his latest invention, which is basically just a boat.
- Bullying a Dragon: After encountering Suzy's dog too many times and her hatred of her brother's invention, Candace heckles every dog, and animal around her, which drives a dog barks into the translator which means, "GET HER!" And Candace's eyes widen, and runs off continously screaming for dear life, until the animals get caught into Doofenshmirtz's BO-At with Doof in it, which saves her life, if it weren't for that the animals would've MURDERED her.
- Fun with Acronyms: The BO-AT and the MOAT, which stand for Buoyancy Operated Aquatic Transport and Metropolitan Oval Aquatic Trench, respectively.
- The Girl Who Fits This Slipper: Earlier in the episode, Candace discusses with Stacy how she wants more romantic gestures from Jeremy similar to fairy tale. Later, Suzy's dog attempts to flush Candace's shoe down the toilet and she is seen throughout the episode wearing only one shoe. At the end, Jeremy gives Candace her shoe back much like Prince Charming to Cinderella.
- Gone Horribly Right: The boys' invention causes them to hear all of the animals around Danville.
- Green Aesop: A minor one, as Major Monogram has been using an alternative energy source (Carl riding a bicycle to power the lair) and saving paper by using the same sheet over and over, but that makes Perry's assignment illegible.
- Jerkass Ball: Candace become notoriously unpleasant in this episode, such as her hatred over her brother's invention, and heckling every animal to due Suzy's dog bullying her, it actually drives the animals into sicking on Candace, they would've succeeded if it weren't for Doof's BO-AT.
- Meta Twist: Nothing happens to the translation machine, and in fact, Linda actually sees it. She isn't bothered by it at all, to Candace's dismay,
- No Name Given: Jeremy only refers to the black poodle as "Suzy's dog", while never referring to her by name.
- Noah's Story Arc: The animals that were chasing Candace all end up on Doofenshmirtz's "BO-AT", giving off a Noah's ark like atmosphere.
- Pyrrhic Victory: Candace finally shows Linda the boys’ invention. But instead of being upset, Linda thinks it’s adorable. In addition, it also doesn't translate what Perry says, causing Linda to think that it doesn't actually work.
- Soundtrack Dissonance: A peppy pop song plays as the stampede of angry animals chases Candace, not unlike the "chase songs" heard in the second season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
- Sanity Slippage: When Linda isn't bothered by the boys' invention, Candace looks like she's on the verge of insanity, When Jeremy finally asked her out, she looks happy and mutters "Enchanted.."
- Mugging the Monster: Candace jeering and heckling all the animals, then realizing they were able to understand her thanks to Phineas and Ferb's animal translator. They proceed to chase her throughout Danville attempting to maul her to death while upbeat '60s pop music plays, until they get caught in Doof's BO-AT, which unintentionally saves her life.
- Shout-Out: The title is a parody of the Anne Rice novel Interview with the Vampire.
- Suddenly Speaking: This marks the first speaking role for Fireside Girl Ginger, voiced here by Tiffany Espensen.
- Toilet Paper Trail: Suzy's poodle steals Candace's shoe as she washes it, so she chases her all over the Johnson house, not realizing she had stepped on a piece of toilet paper and leaving a trail all over the house. In a panicked fit, she attempts to dispose all the paper into the toilet, but the poodle drops Candace's shoe as she does it, causing Candace to try to yank it back out with a plunger.
- Urine Trouble: Suzy’s poodle pees on Candace’s shoe to mess with her.
- The Unintelligible: Turns out that Perry’s noises are what he is actually saying, rather than some animal language. Or maybe he is just concealing his thoughts in order to keep his agent cover intact.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: The translator does not disappear, but it is never seen again after the episode.
