We open on the couch, but the Louds are nowhere to be seen. Instead, four guys are sitting on the couch. One of them is MrTyeDye, who wrote the series, the rest are other fanfiction writers: EpsilonMk46, WildKirbyAtrox and ThatEngineer (who wrote What is a Person Worth?). Tye explains that he and his friends have decided to break in and do the riffing themselves (although Kirby is a bit disturbed) and they will be reading Luck.
The guys start talking about the bad writing present in "No Such Luck" and fanfiction based upon it, and Kirby reveals that he sold their "superstitious stuff" to a guy in the Middle East. Tye interrupts them and they begin the story.
The story begins a few weeks after "No Such Luck" and Lincoln is still being made to wear the squirrel suit. They're going to the beach again and Lana wants to use Lincoln's good luck to catch a shark for a pet, but as Mr. TyeDye points out, she's got nothing to keep a shark in. Lincoln tries to go swimming in his costume but Luan and Lola think that the water will "ruin" the costume. The guys point out that it probably wouldn't. Lincoln also gets laughed at.
When the fanfic Louds arrive home, they're all enthusing about the fun they had except for Lincoln, who is reading comics without his suit on. Lana ties him up and wants to take him in his suit to a "lasso tournament", which she wins offscreen. Then, Lola wants to use Lincoln as her good luck charm for a pageant— even though the canon Lola would definitely not doubt her pageant-winning abilities. She wins too, then Luna too wants to use Lincoln as her good luck charm, at one of her shows. When he takes the head off, some lights flash in her eyes, and she blames him for it. He then starts calling her his guardian.
Luna starts to feel guilty, which the guys point out is a cliche in fanfic, and pull out a "sin counter" to keep track of everything bad in the fanfiction. Also, Kirby calls Luna "Luney-Girl", starting his habit of calling the characters by shortened versions of their names, with their genders as a suffix.
The fanfic Louds go on a picnic where Lola worries a bird will steal her food. The guys point out that they have indeed had birds steal their food. Lincoln is having a hard time eating, causing the guys to make dark jokes about him starving. Lincoln rolls down a hill and bumps his head and while his family are a little concerned about him, they're more concerned about the suit, so the guys pull out a "Fanfic Character Portrayed as a Jackass Meter" and rate Lincoln's family as worse than they (except Leni and Luna) were in Whipped, but better than Chandler's usual portrayal.
Back at home, Lincoln decides to go "for a walk", but his family (sans Luna, who's concerned) is sure he'll be back. He angrily throws the squirrel suit away, then comes back and yells that he threw the suit away, then goes on a long rant (while the guys joke about the story's predictability) which concludes with punching Lynn in the nose, then she hits him back several times, making the fanfic Louds' behaviour worse than Chandler on the meter.
Luna tries to settle things down but it doesn't work and Lincoln runs away, so everyone follows in Vanzilla... after only a few seconds. He thinks of the perfect place to hide and Kirby makes an "umbrella building" joke. Eventually, a girl named Sophia lets Lincoln in her mansion, he tells her his sob story, and she lets him stay with her for a few days. Then, two other unknown girls enter who Sophia knows, named Zoe and Maria, who know who Lincoln is. He explains what happens, making the girls cry, then they all watch a movie to cheer themselves up.
Meanwhile, the sisters and parents are at the police, where they've developed morality... except Lynn. At the mansion, Lincoln has fallen asleep so the OC girls take him to bed. The sisters and parents go home, where Luan doesn't believe that Luna is Lincoln's guardian... but thinks it's Leni. This makes the guys use a gun with the sin counter, which escalates into several guns. Lucy chews Lynn out, then goes to sleep in Lincoln's room. Lynn finally comes to her senses and cries all night.
The next morning, Lincoln has breakfast and he and the OC girls go to the arcade and play air hockey, then to Zoe's house, then the park, where a bird attacks Lincoln, who hits his head again, then Sophia starts attacking her. He's very grateful because his family didn't care that much when he hit his head, and wants to be Sophia's brother, but she has reservations.
Lincoln decides to apologise to his family, so they meet up with each other and hug it out, while the "guardian" baloney happens again. Lynn apologises for being cold and admits she loves Lincoln, then they go to the beach again but this time everyone has fun (though Lincoln cries over a small cut).
The fanfic ends, and the Louds come back home and get very angry, especially when Kirby destroys Lori's phone.
This chapter provides examples of
- Adaptational Dumbass: The Louds except Lincoln were holding the Idiot Ball during the episode this fanfic was based on, so naturally in the fanfic, they act uncharacteristically stupid, not realising that the squirrel suit thing is baloney sooner.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Lincoln's family in the story takes weeks to come to their senses, whereas canonically they probably only took a few days at most. They also demand his good luck in areas they're already confident at succeeding.
- Adaptational Wimp: Fanfic Luna is a less competent musician than the canon Luna, being swayed by the light getting in her eyes and relying on a good luck ritual.
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: The fanfiction counterparts of Luna and Lincoln think she's his guardian, whereas the canon Lincoln and Luna are just normal siblings.
- Black Comedy: When Lincoln in the story is having trouble eating, the guys jokingly wonder if they're letting him starve.
- Blowing a Raspberry: Fanfic Lily blows a raspberry at Lynn for acknowledging Lincoln's culpability.
- Breath Weapon: Kirby has "atomic breath" for some reason, that can destroy things.
- Captain Obvious: As Epsilon points out, Luna said in the story she was mad at Lincoln when it was pretty obvious.
- Continuity Nod: Kirby remembers Mr. Grouse's comment from After Dark Episode 1 about Rita and Lynn Sr. being "jokes".
- Copycat Mockery:
- Epsilon teasingly copies the Lola in the story by saying, "I feel like acting a bit less confident in my skills today. So you gotta roll with the punches while I win another pageant I'd obviously win before. Okay, Linky?"
- He then mocks Luna for stating the obvious by making obvious statements as her.
- Country Matters: Fanfic Lynn gets called the C-word (though censored) for being uncaring.
- Cutaway Gag: Subverted; when fanfic Lynn calls attention to a past event, MrTyeDye anticipates that it's the set-up for a Family Guy-style cutaway joke, but it doesn't happen.
- Death Glare: Lori glares at Kirby for destroying her phone.
- Everybody Cries: The fanfic sisters all cry when they fear that Lincoln has left them forever.
- Evil Laugh: Kirby does an evil laugh about fanfic Lynn trying to convince herself not to feel remorse.
- Eye Scream:
- In the story, Lincoln gets sauce in his eyes and complains about them burning and him not being able to see.
- The real Lincoln gets hit in the eye with Kirby's "atomic breath".
- Fandom-Specific Plot: Pointed out In-Universe when Mr. TyeDye refers to the fanfic as "No Such Luck Follow-Up #24601".
- Hypocrite: As Engineer points out, fanfic Lynn is a hypocrite for accusing Lincoln of acting like a baby over luck.
- Mama Bear: A mother bird attacks fanfic Lincoln for going near her babies.
- Mary Sue: In-Universe, the guys call Sophia a Mary Sue because of her wealth and the fact that she was conveniently there.
- The Nicknamer: Epsilon calls the characters "[petname]-[gender]", for instance, "Luney-Girl" and "Linky-Boi".
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Fanfic Lana wins her "lasso tournament" offscreen.
- Original Character: Fanfic Lincoln stays with a girl named Sophia, who has a butler, and two friends named Zoe and Maria.
- Out of Character:
- The fanfic Louds initially act like they did in "No Such Luck", which is a bit out-of-keeping with their usual characters, then later they start to act even meaner.
- While fanfic Lincoln is more in-character than the others, he's whinier (though not as whiny as in other fanfics) and thinks Luna is his guardian.
- Ow, My Body Part!: Fanfic Lincoln says, "Ow! My head!" when he falls over.
- Poe's Law: Epsilon wonders if this fanfic is just an absurdist comedy because of its sheer levels of clichedness.
- Pun: Fanfic Luan jokes about having to "wave" goodbye to the water.
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Mr. TyeDye says, "PAST. OR. PRESENT. TENSE." about the fanfic's tense changes. He later says, "Mister. Coconuts." as part of an absurdist joke about how it's actually Mr. Coconuts who's Lincoln's guardian.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Fanfic Lincoln gives his family a long telling-off after throwing his suit away, going on about how they had no sympathy for him and were objectifying him.
- Ron the Death Eater: Discussed In-Universe where thee guys have a "Fanfic Character Portrayed as a Jackass Meter".
- The Runaway: Fanfic Lincoln decides to run away to the mansion of some girl named Sophia.
- Shout-Out:
- Mr. TyeDye refers to this fanfic as "No Such Luck Follow-Up #24601."
- Mr. TyeDye mentions the cutaway gags used on Family Guy.
- Fanfic Luna mentions everything being all right, which is a lyric from Bob Marley's song "Three Little Birds".
- Mr. TyeDye compares Lori mimicking the narrator to Peppa Pig.
- Kirby says, "Resistance is futile", the catchphrase of the Borg from Star Trek.
- Mr. TyeDye points out that Lynn calling herself number one in the fanfic is similar to something Robbie Rotten said in LazyTown, then later compares it to Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen from Spongebob Squarepants.
- The "Fanfic Character Portrayed as a Jackass" meter references the fanfics A Night To Forget, Anger Management, Whipped, and Lincoln is Done.
- Mr. TyeDye calls Lincoln The Flash because in the story, he somehow runs very far in only a few moments.

- Mr. TyeDye calls Zoe "Little Orphan Annie" for saying that "tomorrow is another day".

- The guys jokingly claim that fanfic Lincoln went to Neverland and the Emerald City.
- The quartet uses the Sin Counter from CinemaSins to keep track of the things the fic gets wrong.
- Take That!: Epsilon hates the song "Barbie Girl" so much that he screams and runs when Tye sings to the tune of it.
- Sweetness Aversion: In-Universe, Kirby points out that Loud House OC's tend to have sappy, exaggeratedly-positive traits.
- Threatening Shark: Fanfic Lincoln thinks sharks are bad and is questioning why Lana wants one.
- Twitchy Eye: Epsilon's eye twitches in annoyance at the fanfic's unoriginal plot.
- Two Words: Added Emphasis: Engineer says that he doesn't take Luna seriously because "two words: Garage Banned".
- Where the Hell Is Springfield?: Downplayed. When the fanfic Louds are at the beach, it's unclear if they're at an ocean beach or a lake, but they're still in Royal Woods.
- You Keep Using That Word: The fic's nonstop insistence on referring to Luna as Lincoln's "guardian" wears on Tye, Eps, Kirby and That Engineer until the latter finally snaps towards the end of the fic.
