Luau for Two is the 2nd episode of the 1st season of Pee-wee's Playhouse. After Pee-Wee wins a grand prize trip to a Hawaiian dinner for two from a game show, who will he go with?

- Poor Communication Kills: Pee-Wee never makes it clear that he can only take one person with him to the Hawaiian dinner, so whenever someone hears about it, they assume that they'll be his guest. When they all show up to attend, a fight quickly breaks out.

- Shaming the Mob: When Pee-Wee's friends devolve into a screaming argument over who gets to go with Pee-Wee to his Hawaiian dinner, he quiets them down and tells them all that he's furious with them for valuing a prize over their friendship with him. To their credit, the whole group realizes they've gone too far and apologizes.

- The Scotch tape on Pee-Wee's face is a reference to a scene from his 1985 movie, Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
- Tempting Fate: Randy tells Pee-Wee that people are being nice to him so that he'll invite them to the Hawaiian dinner he's won as a game show prize. Pee-Wee tells him that this certainly isn't the case...and a moment later, Mrs. Steve (who earlier told Pee-Wee that she planned to never speak to him again) comes in gushing about how he's her "favorite person in the world."
