Well, I would not feel so all alone/Everybody must get cloned!

The war with Dyad is all but lost when Rachel’s latest ploy forces a broken Sarah to concede. The Clone Club springs into action, uniting in a reckless gambit to save Sarah. As they fight to gain their freedom, Sarah encounters a new ally and uncovers a terrifying new dimension to the conspiracy.

This episode won the 2015 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Bad Liar: Art repeatedly asks Helena if she had anything to do with the Prolethean compound burning to the ground. She keeps saying "No" - but the huge grin on her face says otherwise.
  • Big Eater: Guess who shows up at Art's apartment - and makes a beeline for the refrigerator?
  • Big Fancy House: Marian Bowles' mansion.
  • Call-Back: Several.
    • Cosima gets an email from "Eskimo Pie" (Delphine), a reminder of her Season 1 vow to make Delphine a "craven addict" for the ice cream treats. Doubles as a Freeze-Frame Bonus.
    • Helena is seen fondly holding Jesse's trucker hat from 2.06, right before her Bag of Kidnapping at the hands of Project Castor.
  • Concert Climax: All of the clones (except Rachel or Tony) plus Felix and Kira have a bit of an impromptu post-rescue dance party before the next part of the plot kicks in.
  • Doppelgänger: Marion's clone daughter Charlotte is a dead ringer for the young Rachel Duncan - naturally, since they're almost genetically identical and played by the same actress.
  • Driven to Suicide: Ethan Duncan, after finding himself effectively held captive by his sociopathic daughter, kills himself rather than hand over his research to her. He makes it plain to her why he's doing it, too.
  • Eating the Eye Candy:
    • When Mrs. S introduces Cal to Paul, she looks the two of them over and wonders how Sarah does it, though that may have her wondering how she got them to be so jealous over her.
    • When Cal drops off Sarah at Felix's apartment, Alison whispers that he's hot and Cosima gives Sarah a "thumbs up".
  • Eye Scream: Sarah launches a pencil into Rachel's eye to enable her escape.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Mrs. S. helps Paul and Project Castor kidnap Helena. She concedes that Sarah will probably never forgive her.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • The aforementioned Eye Scream scene is foreshadowed by Cosima's lesson for Kira.
    • Sarah's impromptu operation confirms a comment she made earlier in the episode. When she held up her handcuffed hands, Sarah stated that the Dyad didn't really care about getting her consent to do things to her body.
    • When Sarah first met him, Ethan said that he was hiding from "the Neolutionists inside Dyad". Now we learn that Marian Bowles is inside Dyad, but from a different faction.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Marion Bowles collaborates with Paul and Mrs. S. in helping Sarah and Kira escape from Dyad.
  • Heroic Suicide: Ethan Duncan kills himself to prevent Rachel and Dyad from obtaining the cipher to his work. He also implies that the only place the cipher exists is in is head, noting that he can recite pi to 6000 digits.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: The fire-extinguisher-gun was unlikely to even hit a person... that it managed to hit Rachel in the eye is... highly improbable. Rule of Cool may apply.
  • Kick the Dog: After using her last episode by manipulating her desperation to do the right thing for the sisters, Rachel cruelly forces Delphine’s reassignment to a completely different continent, refusing to even let her say goodbye to her dying girlfriend before she leaves.
  • MacGyvering: Cosima and Scott build a weapon for Sarah out of a fire extinguisher, some tubing, and a sharpened pencil.
  • Meaningful Background Event: As the clone party gets under way, Helena is fondly rubbing her abdomen.
  • Medical Rape and Impregnate: A doctor at the Dyad implies that this is the fate they have in mind for Sarah because she's the only fertile clone that they know of.
  • Near-Death Experience: Kira finds Cosima unresponsive in bed. As she tries to wake her, Cosima has a dreamlike flash of Delphine reassuring her, and regains consciousness.
  • Out of Focus: Alison appears at the end for the clone dance party, but has no other role in the episode.
  • The Reveal:
    • There is a male cloning project entitled Project Castor, which is controlled by the military. Mark Rollins, the Proletheans' former enforcer, is one of them.
    • Marion Bowles has her own agenda apart from Dyad's, and helps Kira and Sarah escape. She is raising the youngest Leda clone, Charlotte, and is battling the military. She has one of the Project Castor clones captive.
  • Spear Counterpart: Project Castor is a collection of male clones that operates parallel to Project Leda.
  • Stealth Pun:
  • Strapped to an Operating Table: After signing a consent form to let the Dyad harvest her eggs in 16 days, Sarah is shocked when they instead chose to drag her to an operating room with the intent of removing one of her ovaries. Fortunately Cosima and Scott's plan saves her.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: Upon meeting Sarah, Charlotte says she is Kira's cousin, to which Marion corrects her saying she's actually her aunt but that they would go with "cousin" for now.
  • Tantrum Throwing: Rachel demands that Sarah turn over the encryption key to Prof. Duncan's genome work. When Sarah insists she doesn't have the key, Rachel petulantly smashes the test tubes containing Kira's harvested bone marrow.
  • Villains Out Shopping: When Cosima is passed on Rachel's itinerary from Delphine, her "appointment" with Sarah is sandwiched between a manicure and a Gyrotonics class.
  • Wham Shot:
    • Sarah encounters Ethan Duncan wearing the same prisoner blues as her and also being let away by an armed guard.
    • The reveal of the Castor clones' faces and that Mark is one of them.
    • There's a little girl playing hide and seek in Marion's mansion... wait a minute, she looks exactly like young Rachel from the home videos!
