Thanks to the powers of the four remaining Jesters, Dagded is fully resurrected despite the team's efforts. Racules reveals that the "kings' proof" may be the key to defeating Dagded, relaying that a leader will need to be chosen to ensure that the power will not be used in a destructive fashion. During the team's showdown to choose their leader, Gira is worried that Yanma may be going too far in his efforts...

Tropes

  • Acquired Situational Narcissism: Invoked. Hilbil compels everyone to "aim for the top", causing the people to fight amongst each other. Yanma in particular takes it up a notch, exploiting his technical skills to create a machine that causes a lightning storm to ravage Shugoddam.
  • An Aesop: Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and power must otherwise be wielded responsibly.
  • And I Must Scream: Upon his revival, Dagded now decides not to exterminate Tikyū, but rather have the planet locked frozen in their most doomed and desperate moment in order to add it to his "collection".
  • Big Damn Heroes: An unaffected Kaguragi appears to help Gira get Hilbil off him.
  • Book Ends: Downplayed. The story itself is continuing, but this episode caps off Yanma's Character Development. In the first episode, he refuses to sign the treaty of Alliance with the other kingdoms; Properly Paranoid that Racules was making a power-play. Here, a heroic power-play by Racules (and a major moment of humility) aids in uniting everyone once more, convincing Yanma to finally sign the treaty.
  • Call-Back:
    • The premise of the episode is a re-visit of that of #31: Gira being the Only Sane Man while everyone else is in-fighting during a cataclysmic event.
    • When Gira goes to check up on Rcules in N'Kosopa, he discovers his brother in the robot costume Yanma was planning to give him for their funeral plan back #11.
    • Yanma is shown to be treating Rcules the worst, which he justifies by reminding everyone of Rcules' attempts to take over N'Kosopa like in #2 and #17.
    • Kaguragi saves Gira from Hilbil by suplexing her, just like he did back in #35.
    • Gira snapping Yanma out of his power-high involves him punching Yanma much like how the latter attempted to do to Gira way back in #9. Gira even says "Grit those teeth!"
  • Character Development: Having learned from the mistakes he made during the episode, Yanma decides that the six kingdoms should restart their alliance to prevent any abuses of power that could take place, a far-cry from himself two years ago. He even lampshades this when he explains his reasoning to Gira.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Jeramie and Kaguragi play dirty during their contests. Jeramie creates a Moffun doll out of his webbing, causing Rita to attack and defeat themself, while Kaguragi puts pictures of Hymeno's parents and Sebastian on his ball to get her to stop attack, and later even replaces his ball with a solid one so that Hymeno couldn't pop it.
  • Crown of Power: Racules reveals that the monarchs' identification emblems hold a hidden power known as the "King's Proof", which is possibly capable of destroying the Galactinsects under the right conditions.
  • Dismantled MacGuffin: The "King's Proof" was originally a single thing before being fractured into six pieces, which are the identification emblems of the monarchs.
  • Drunk with Power:
    • Yanma gets rather giddy as he sees the power of his King's Proof cause havoc across the land.
    • Racules lampshades this in a conversation with Yanma, stating that his self-righteousness led him to enjoying the pain that he caused others.
  • Evil Feels Good: During their final conversation, Yanma asks Racules how it felt to be king of Tikyu. Racules found it amazing; not denying that he let the power go to his head.
Racules: (With remorse) It was amazing. Seeing the people sacrificed as a means to my ends...was pleasurable. When I thought you had died, I couldn't conceal the joy it brought me.
Yanma: So you're cracked in the head?
Racules: That's right. I was drunk on power.
  • Evil Laugh: Yanma gets one at the height of his Mind Control, sporting a Slasher Smile and losing himself to the carnage he's inflicting with his new power.
  • Forgiven, but Not Forgotten: Out of all of the monarchs, Yanma is understandably the most weary due to the multiple instances N'Kosopa was made a personal target under Racules' "tyranny". Considering that Racules admitted at the end that he did enjoy inflicting suffering onto others when he was king, Yanma is not entirely misguided in his thinking.
  • Genghis Gambit: Racules bolsters the monarchs' Team Spirit by appealing to their respective egos and letting them fight it out, then with them all humbled nudges Yanma to revive the Six-Kingdom Alliance as an alliance of equals.
  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: When Yanma lets the power of the King's Proof get to his head, Gira immediately punches him to make him witness the damage he is doing to Shugoddam.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Racules considers the "King's Proof" to be this since its power can destroy a nation when used carelessly.
  • Hate Plague: Hilbil commands the citizens into fighting each other.
  • Hope Spot: As Gira attempts to stop his fellow monarchs from squabbling to no avail, Yanma arrives on the scene. After Gira begs him to help out, however, Yanma reveals his move: causing a raging electric storm using his King's Proof that knocks everyone out.
  • The Immune: Gira is revealed to be immune to Hilbil's compulsion like Kaguragi, though in his case it's because of his status as Dagded's "child".
  • Irony: Two years ago, Yanma scoffed at idea of an alliance between the kingdoms. Now he's the one suggesting they come together.
  • Killed Off for Real: Hilbil finally meets her end at the hands of an empowered King-Ohger.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Since Hilbil basically ruined Yanma's kingdom, it was only fitting for him to make her meet her end.
  • The Leader: Defied. As part of his plan to improve the monarchs' cohesion, Racules suggests to them to find a leader amongst themselves, knowing perfectly well that their egos would lead to fighting each other. Even Gira's attempts at getting them in line — which would have earned him the spot otherwise in similar scenarios from previous Sentai — fall on deaf ears. In the end, everyone decides to work as an alliance of equals, with Yanma's example exhibiting what they would do if someone went out of line.
  • MacGuffin: Turns out the jewels each of the personal trinkets the monarchs kept on them were the seals keeping back a major source of power.
  • Mercy Kill Arrangement: After Yanma snaps out of his power-high, he tells Gira to do whatever it takes to stop him if he ever gets Drunk On Power again, even if it means putting him down.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: Deconstructed. The Kings' Proof as a power doesn't come that far off the heels of the unlocked "hidden command" of the OhgerCaliburs. However, these powers are so destructive that their previous wielders sealed the power away within symbols of their nations and washed their hands of it; waiting until the kingdoms could truly come together before they could be used again. Yanma nearly levels Shugoddam with just a few snaps of his finger alone while under Hilbil's spell, reinforcing the necessity of the monarchs policing one another to prevent the Proof from being abused.
  • My God, You Are Serious!: Gira doesn't believe Yanma wants to reset the alliance at first thinking he's still under Hilbil's control.
  • No-Sell: The powered up King-Ohger is shown to be immune to all of Hilbil's attacks.
  • Not So Above It All: Racules gets in on the comedy-gags this time around, serving as the referee during everyone else's competing. Becomes a little less funny when you realize it was a scheme he concocted to get everyone to convene; knowing they wouldn't believe him about the King's Proof outright.
  • Reformed, but Not Tamed: The leadership competition during this episode was yet another scheme concocted by Racules. However, it was done entirely for heroic reasons - he assumed the monarchs wouldn't believe him about the destructive nature of the King's Proof outright otherwise.
  • The Reveal:
    • The original King-Ohgers had a massive spring of power called the "Kings' Proof" they were able to draw from. After their war with the Boggnarok, that power was dismantled and sealed away within symbols of their nations until the kingdoms could truly unite again.
    • The Galactinsects preserve some of the planets they destroy in crystal containing dead inhabitants at their peak despair. These crystals are part of Dagded's personal collection.
  • Rule of Symbolism:
    • Racules’ outfit now consists of wearing his red coat over the shoulders of a white shirt. This is exactly how Gira's outfit was pre-timeskip, as he's now seen as a tool to further the kings' own means, like how Gira once was.
    • During Yanma and Racules' heart-to-heart, the two stand next to a flashback of Yanma during his Evil Laugh. After a back-and-forth, Yanma turns his back on the version of himself consumed by power and walks away.
    • When the monarchs re-sign the Sextet Alliance and unlock the Kings' Proof, the power actually pierces the veil between their realm and Dagded's; smacking the latter in the face.
  • Same Plot Sequel: This episode is a re-visit of the idea of Gira having to watch as the monarchs fall apart to in-fighting during a major event. Here however, it's played more straight: This isn't a gambit on the monarchs' end this time - in fact, we get to see first-hand what happens when one of them gets Drunk On Power. The results are scary.
  • Shock and Awe: The power of N'Kosopa's "King's Proof" naturally revolves around electricity, which Yanma exploits to cause lightning storms all across Shugoddam.
  • Skewed Priorities: The other Jesters are doing their best to stay on Dagded's good side after his comeback. Grodie meanwhile continues to be jealous of the fact Dagded was able to die and tries to leave the realm to provoke his would-be killers. Dagded knocks him down with hand-beams.
  • Theme Song Power Up: Yanma's insert theme blares as the final battle begins.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Dagded enters the episode having one, beating his Jesters up for being yes-men and urging them to make actual trouble. He's abnormally hard on Hillbill, which potentially foreshadows her fate.
  • The Worf Effect: Showcasing the power of the "King's Proof", only two pieces of it are strong enough to make the base King-Ohger strong enough to kill Hilbil.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: Lampshaded when the team's showdown devolved into using wrestling moves at one point with Gira telling the team to cut it out with the "pro wrestling".
