Jeramie: At first, it seems as though Jeramie has opened up to Gira and his crew.
However, the incessant fighting between the humans and Bognaarok fills him with rage, resulting in the summoning of God Tarantula.
With the three Greater Guardian Spirits at his side, Jeramie steels himself to become the king of all Tikyū!
...Or so the story goes.

As Jeramie calls forth his Shugods, Hymeno notices that one of them, Guardian Cicada, happens to resemble the Semishugod that was present at Ishabana during the Fury of the Gods fifteen years ago. Convinced that Jeramie is the one behind the incident and her parents' deaths, Hymeno is determined to bring him to justice. But are things really as clear-cut as they seem?

Meanwhile, Rita interrogates Jeramie about his alleged role in the Fury of the Gods, only to find out a surprising secret behind the Ishabana-produced anime Together with Moffun...

Tropes

  • An Aesop:
    • In order to avoid conflicts and misunderstanding, we must be able to hear out each other carefully.
    • Don't make light of others' pain.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Gerojim comes in disguised as Sebastian, getting Hymeno away from Jeramie long enough for him to escape.
  • Break the Haughty: This is the episode that Jeramie is forced to confront the consequences of his teasing personality. Instead of spelling out his innocence and explaining his sleep-period during the Fury Of the Gods, he continues playing evasive word-games (like he's been doing) with Hymeno during a sensitive moment and nearly gets himself killed for it. He tries again with Rita during his interrogation, but they've lost all patience with him by now and in a moment of Brutal Honesty spell out how insensitive it is to expect everyone to have to navigate around him. He's filled with nothing but remorse after the fact.
Jeramie: It seems I was the one that didn't read between the lines.
  • Call-Back: Hymeno's discussions of the Fury of the Gods with Yanma and Kaguragi get acknowledged, while Edda, the girl that Hymeno healed back in #3, returns as well.
  • Clear My Name: Jeramie has to prove his innocence regarding the Fury of the Gods and the murder of Hymeno's parents. He's later shown to have spent time as an exhibit of a non-decaying corpse during the time.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: Rita explains that the Cicada Shugod has become synonymous with the Fury of the Gods - Jeramie's association with them convinced Hymeno he was her parents' killer.
  • Do Not Adjust Your Set: Yanma has his crew hijack the Ishabana broadcasting signal to inform them about Hymeno's manhunt for Jeramie. Of all things, this happens during an airing of Together with Moffun.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Hymeno's belief that the Fury of the Gods being initiated by a mastermind is actually justified — one Guardian Cicada in the flashback is shown to have Mind-Control Eyes, suggesting the Guardian Cicada populace back then was under mass-hypnosis.
  • Historical Hero Upgrade: It’s revealed that Moffun was based on the legend of Yukio, a yeti in Gokkan who kidnapped a traveller. Now, he’s the protagonist of a children’s anime.
  • Mood Whiplash: Downplayed. Most of the episode is drama-oriented, focusing on the fallout of Hymeno's fight with Jeramie. There are however a few bits of levity sprinkled throughout: Gira's "arrest" for not helping Hymeno find the Greater Shugods, as well as Rita's Not So Stoic reactions to both Jeramie and the Moffun cartoon, are all Played for Laughs.
  • Not Me This Time: Jeramie, who been behind almost everything that's happened thus far, directly or indirectly, was hibernating during the Fury of the Gods and is completely innocent of that charge.
  • Not So Stoic:
    • Rita's interrogation of Jeramie induces quite a few of these moments out of them, as they can barely contain their sheer annoyance and anger at his cryptic statements.
    • The moment Jeramie mentions he knows something about Moffun, Rita eagerly asks him what it is.
    • When Rita reveals the secret behind Together with Moffun, they go full Motor Mouth and get very passionate about how much of a masterpiece it is.
  • Poor Communication Kills: While Jeramie turns out to be innocent of the assassination of Hymeno's parents, his smug handling of the situation leads the latter to assume he's guilty, leading to him getting beaten down by the queen of Ishabana.
  • The Reveal:
    • The Fury of the Gods began when the whole populace of Guardian Cicadas on Tikyū went berserk.
    • Together with Moffun initially was created to cheer the young Hymeno up after she was orphaned, but at some point, it eventually became one of the most popular TV shows in the world, as shown by the appearance of Moffun's merchandise in prior episodes.
    • Rita states that all of the monarchs are replacements that were forced to take the throne as a consequence of the Fury Of The Gods. Especially true with Hymeno, who was still a child when she was forced to take over for her late parents.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Gerojim helps Jeramie escape by disguising as Sebastian right in front of the man himself and Hymeno, all while being very hyper and obviously out of character. Sebastian is too shocked to intervene.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Hymeno's insistence on finding and capturing Jeramie leads her to deny anybody who argues against her, even going as far as arresting Gira again when he refuses to find where the Greater Shugods are.
  • Slept Through the Apocalypse: It turns out that during the Fury of the Gods event, Jeramie was in a sleeping period for a year and was even turned into an exhibit as a non-decaying corpse.
  • Third-Party Peacekeeper: Hymeno accuses Jeramie of being her parents' killer, which his cheeky word-games don't acquit him of. Hymeno flies into an Unstoppable Rage and nearly kills him, forcing Rita to interrogate him. They later discover that he really was innocent and end up being be the go-between when Jeramie (who finally realizes what a jerk he was being) seeks to reconcile. Hymeno has him defeat the Monster of the Week and save her kingdom to make things square.
  • Two Lines, No Waiting: Plot A centers around Hymeno trying to find and capture Jeramie while Gira and the others try and dissuade her, only to be interrupted by Amejim's attack on Ishabana. Plot B centers around Rita's interrogation of Jeramie, trying to understand his role - or lack thereof - in the Fury of the Gods.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • Gira lays into Hymeno for her insistence that Jeramie is evil after assuming he killed her parents.
    • Rita calls out Jeramie for his blasé attitude towards the history of the Fury of the Gods and Hymeno's feelings.
  • The Worf Effect: Hymeno singlehandedly bests Jeramie even after his previous easy victories against Dethnaarok and the team. This could be explained by the fact that she's being fueled by Unstoppable Rage for the most of the episode.
