"The Hermit Crabs" is the 22nd episode of The Octonauts.
Peso helps a hermit crab who has grown too big for his shell.
Tropes:
- Chekhov's Gun: Dashi finds a beautiful conch shell on the beach. This conch ends up being the hermit crab's new shell.
- Literal-Minded: When Peso asks for the hermit crab's name, the crab yells "Get me out!". Peso assumes the crab's name is Mr. Getmeout.
- Lower-Deck Episode: With leads Captain Barnacles and Kwazii busy on a different mission, Peso and Tweak are instead the main characters.
- Mistaken for Name: Peso asks the titular hermit crab for his name, to which he yells "Get me out!" (since he is stuck inside his shell, which he has grown too big for). Peso then addresses him as "Mr. Getmeout".
