- Bait-and-Switch: Carol thinks she sees Rippy Roo at the plaza, sitting on a bench and reading the paper, but it turns out to be Crinkly-Wrinkly in a costume. The she runs into the real one a few seconds later.
- Bigger on the Inside: K.O. goes inside Rippy Roo's pouch, which appears to be a Pocket Dimension full of Floating Continents.
- Brick Joke; K.O. finds the lollipop Rippy Roo offered him earlier while exploring the inside of her pouch.
- Call-Back:
- Dendy has cards for EN1D from "O.K. AU" and the mutant Cantalop from "GarQuest".
- Carol and Rippy Roo talk about what happened to Laserblast, revealed in "Let's Take a Moment".
- Double Aesop: Parodied; Carol comments that K.O. hopefully learned that it's better to talk things out sometimes after he learns the Mecha-Maw stole his POW Card collection because it was bored. K.O. replies that that sounds more like the lesson Carol and Rippy Roo learned, and claims "I didn't learn anything!".
- Repeating So the Audience Can Hear: Carol's interactions with Rippy Roo has the former responding in ways that translate Rippy Roo's gibberish language.
- Rummage Fail: Rippy Roo tries to look for a lollipop for K.O. in her pouch. After pulling out a sword and a beehive, the next thing to come out of her pouch is the arm of a Mecha Maw, which takes K.O.'s POW card collection.
- Shout-Out: Dendy has a Blue Eyes White Colewort card.
- Speak of the Devil: After mistaking Crinkly-Wrinkly for Rippy Roo, Carol says that the chances of Rippy Roo being at the Plaza just as she was talking about her were unlikely... and then she sees the real Rippy Roo right there.
- Twisted Ankle: K.O. injures his foot just as he makes it to the exit to Rippy Roo's pouch, preventing him from jumping to the exit.
