Recap / Numberjacks S 2 E 3 Very Shapely

Go To

One, Three, and Four are in the Cosy Room with a bunch of shapes on the floor. Three is only allowed to jump on triangles and Four on rectangles because of the number of sides. One wants to play, but Four thinks she wouldn't be able. Three decides to let her have circles since they sort of have one side, and Four agrees. They start the race, but then Four and Three start arguing over whether the shapes are "proper" triangles or rectangles. This causes One to win, much to Four's annoyance.

The alarm sounds, so they go to the control room, where Agent 99 shows everyone that a girl's blackboard keeps growing and shrinking. Six decides to go out and lands on a hopscotch.

Agent 72 calls in and shows a man having trouble writing a letter because the paper keeps growing and shrinking. Agent 27 then reports that a flag on a woman's bike is also growing and shrinking. He then says that there is more trouble at school, which is where Six is.

Six spies children playing with a plastic hoop, which also begins to grow and shrink. He then notices the Shape Japer nearby. The Numberjacks note that the shapes are a rectangle, circle, and triangle, so they make brain gain but it doesn't work on the hoop and paper. For some reason, it works on the flag, though.

The Numberjacks and agents speculate that maybe it's because Three made the brain gain and the flag is a triangle and thus has three sides. Thus, Four is sent into the brain gain machine to fix the rectangles, and One to fix the circle.

But then the Shape Japer makes the paper change into different (but still rectangular) shapes. She also makes the businessman's hanky change into different (but again, still triangular) shapes. Five imagines a sandwich, a TV, and a car's wheels changing shape.

Then, the bike flag does the same thing as the man's hanky. Three tries to make brain gain to fix it, and it works, so she fixes the hanky too. Four fixes the pieces of paper and the blackboard, then the Shape Japer turns two hula hoops oval. They try to have One fix them but it doesn't work.

The agents suggest that it's simply a phrasing issue and they need to say "turn ovals into circles". So they try again and it works. The Shape Japer flies away, Six comes back, and they do the recap.

Back in the Cosy Room, Three asks the viewers to find a long, thin rectangle and Four wonders how thin a rectangle can be before it becomes a line.
