To protect the power of the Golden Ninja, Lloyd and Garmadon have left on their own to distance themselves from the Overlord (who seeks Lloyd's Golden Power). Meanwhile, at the junkyard, the other ninja are regrouping and trying to come up with a plan to use the Techno Blades without power to the city.
This episode provides examples of:
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Wu is converted into a cyborg called Techno Wu, leading the Nindroids' attack on the junkyard.
- Internal Reveal: Jay and Cole learn about Nya's results from the Perfect Match machine, cementing the Love Triangle between the three.
- Love Triangle: One arises between Jay, Nya, and Cole once the results of the matchmaker machine at Borg Tower is revealed.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: In response to Edna's comment about Jay and Nya being a couple, P.I.X.A.L. reveals Nya's test results saying Cole's her perfect match... which Jay overhears. This not only puts a strain on Jay and Nya's relationship but also Jay's friendship with Cole, hampering their teamwork in a fight.
- Took a Level in Badass: Now that P.I.X.A.L. has half of Zane's power source, her fighting skills get a boost.
- Wham Shot: The Ninja find a scale left behind by the Stranger, indicating that the Stranger is a Serpentine.
- Wonder Twin Powers: Having given P.I.X.A.L. half his power source, Zane can only do Spinjitzu with her.
