Airdate: February 1, 2012

Pythor, the last of the Anacondrai, is released by Lloyd in yet another attempt to find a loyal army to aid him in his revenge.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Arc Villain: As of this episode Pythor claims the role of Season 1's Big Bad, stealing the Map of Dens with the intent of uniting every Serpentine tribe.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When the Ninja finally capture Lloyd, they suggest punishments for Lloyd until an angry looking Master Wu assures them that he knows exactly what to do: he puts Lloyd to bed and reads him a bedtime story about not trusting snakes. The ninja are not happy about this, but Wu explains that Lloyd has a Friendless Background ever since his father was banished to the Underworld and that his mother disappeared, which in turn drove him to follow his father's footsteps. Wu explains that the perfect solution for this is to help Lloyd have real friends that he can count on. Upon learning this, the Ninja finally understands exactly what Wu is trying to do for Lloyd.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Pythor, though it's more obvious than most examples, only fooling Lloyd because he is a child.
  • Friendless Background: Lloyd is revealed to have this.
  • Heel–Face Turn: As of this episode, Lloyd has been rehabilitated by Wu and is now on the side of the Ninja.
  • I Am a Humanitarian: When Pythor first meets Lloyd, it's clear that he regards Lloyd as potential food. It's also implied (and later confirmed by official band The Fold), that he devoured the rest of his own tribe.
  • Invisibility: The special ability of the Anacondrai is to turn invisible.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While it is just another way to manipulate Lloyd, Pythor is right in saying that everyone needs friends, with Sensei Wu explaining this was why Lloyd was trying to be evil.
  • Manipulative Jerk: Pythor.
  • Oh, Crap!: Lloyd when he realizes Skales and Fangtom are friends and decide to join forces.
  • Riddle Me This: Wu gives the Ninja a riddle to solve—what is the best way to defeat an enemy? The answer, as he proves with Lloyd, is to make them your friend.
