After failing to stop the Crystal King, Wu takes shelter with the paperkids.
- Call-Back: Antonia gets Nelson to save Wu from the river, citing how she fished the last one out, in Seabound.
- Child Soldiers: Wu doesn't want to bring the paperkids into the battle against the Crystal King. Nelson reminds him that the Ninja, at the start of the series, were not much older than them (if not the same age).
- Voice of the Resistance: To rally the survivors together, Wu sends out a radio broadcast declaring everyone who can hear him to be an honourary ninja and to gather "where the news never sleeps."
