  • Jaywalking Will Ruin Your Life: Azuikiarai arrests Seikai on charge of jaywalking, adding other charges of vandalism, assaulting a minor and breaking and entering which Seikai only committed while escaping the first charge.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Azuikiarai wields a katana after growing to giant size.
  • Kill Itwith Fire: Azuikiarai is destroyed by Muteki Shogun's flaming sword.
  • Lizard Folk: Aside from the trash can lid on his head, Azuikiarai is vaguely lizard-like, complete with a long tail.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: possesses an old fashioned metal trash can than can suck up opponents like a vacuum and trap them inside. While captured Tsuruhime, Saizo, and Jiraiya with trouble, he was only able to contain the Jusho before they escape.
  • Suicidal Overconfidence: Azuikiarai keeps coming at Muteki Shogun despite none of his attacks doing anything.
  • Verbal Tic: Azuikiarai ends his sentences with "Shoki". (the sound of washing beans)
  • Youkai: In Japanese myth, Azuikiarai, is a ghostly phenomenon in which a mysterious noise that sounds like azuki beans being washed or ground is heard, usually occurring near a river or other body of water. Azukiarai are often described as being bent over a pail washing azuki beans - The pail having been reimagined here as a garbage can.
