Izzy gives Sunny a friendship bracelet for the latter's birthday, but Sunny wears it in her mane instead. Afterwards, Izzy and Pipp try to work through their own versions of writer's block.

Tropes:

  • Acronym and Abbreviation Overload: The note Izzy leaves for her friends says "B.R.B.F.B.B.B.", which none of them can figure out. Upon her return, she tells them it stood for "Be Right Back From Bridlewood, Best Buddies."
  • Added Alliterative Appeal: After fixing up the scooter, Izzy describes it as her "trailer of treasures" and "wagon of whimsy," and Sunny calls it her "carriage of creativity."
  • As You Know: Opaline feels the need to remind Misty of how she "rescued" her when she was a filly.
  • Big "NO!": Izzy cries out "Nooo!" as she tumbles off the collapsing "tower of friendship". After Hitch catches her, she says that she actually said it because she'd lost her crafting glasses.
  • Call-Back: Izzy's "crafting glasses" are the same glasses she briefly wore during her "Fit Right In" song during A New Generation.
  • Giant Food: The earth ponies have trouble making their food normal-sized now that they can grow it instantly on a whim.
  • Grail in the Garbage: While on her way to Bridlewood, Izzy happens across a rusty old motor scooter that inspires her to rethink her entire approach to crafting. She fixes it up, adds a trailer to hold all her supplies, and christens it Izzy Does It.
  • Irony: Pipp helps Izzy with a creative block, only to suffer from one herself (with Izzy later helping her out of it).
  • Literal Metaphor:
    • Izzy is told to get inspiration from her fans, so she decides to go listen to "pony fans", because the literal fans with pictures of ponies on them she made didn't work.
    • When Sunny suggests that Izzy go back to her roots, she decides to return to the "roots" of Bridlewood.
  • Mythology Gag: Pipp keeps a Spike plushie on the floor by her bed.
  • Noodle Incident: When Opaline notes that the Brighthouse must have a magical barrier around it that prevents her from seeing within, Misty compares it to a similar barrier that used to be around Equestria.
  • Note to Self: Zipp gets into the habit of recording her thoughts on her phone.
  • Power Incontinence: Hitch involuntarily uses plant magic to propel himself toward Izzy, ending up in position for him to break her fall.
  • Sarcasm-Blind: Talking with Zipp, Hitch recounts how his Earth pony magic accidentally helped him "heroically" save Izzy. Zipp repeats the word sarcastically and scoffs, leading to Hitch's response.
Hitch: Good. That's how I remember it, too.
  • Sinister Surveillance: Opaline's magic mirror allows her to spy on Sunny whenever she opens it. She failed to consider that the Brighthouse blocks the signal. Or closing the lid, for that matter.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Pipp is able to bodily lift Izzy out of Sunny's smoothie cart.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: Pipp goes along with Sunny's idea that Pipp gave her the compact, rather than admit she forgot to get a gift. Zipp isn't fooled, noting how unlikely it is that her sister would ever forget buying something.
  • Twitchy Eye: Izzy demonstrates this while asking Sunny if she looks desperate.
  • Writer's Block: Izzy and Pipp suffer this, Izzy being unable to mass-produce accessories at the same quality as the one she gifted Sunny while Pipp has trouble with a new song.
  • Wants a Prize for Basic Decency: Opaline is sure to stress that rescuing Misty as a filly was very kind of her.
