During a school news bulletin, Rarity begins her segment on fashion, but reaches into her bag to find she forgot her magazine. With her presentation scrapped, she improvises when looking at her friends standing off to the side.
If Rarity chooses Twilight, she declares smart is in, and the rest of the student body begins wearing glasses and asking Twilight on how to be smarter. If Rarity chooses Rainbow Dash, she says rainbows are trending, and everyone copies Rainbow's signature hair style and color. If Rarity chooses Pinkie Pie, confetti is the hot topic, and an excited Pinkie hides confetti explosives around school.

- Art Evolution: Flash Sentry has a new look just like The Rainbooms now. He has a jacket with cutie mark symbol on both arms and now has a haircut.
- Buffy Speak: Trixie describes the library as "the cool place with all those little bound stacks of paper."
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: With Rainbow's hair the latest trend, everyone copies her long, flowing, multi-colored locks. Even the guys.
- Mistaken from Behind: Rarity confuses first Trixie, and then Derpy, for Rainbow Dash from behind since both of them are wearing rainbow-colored wigs.
- Mundane Utility: The girls use their powers to easily clean up after Pinkie's confetti spree.
- Noodle Incident: Rarity claims she once made a skirt out of slap bracelets.
