Recap / My Little Pony 'n Friends E39: "Fugitive Flowers 2"

Go To

The flories, glutted from their villainous feast, hang the trussed-up Masquerade from a tree and fall into a deep sleep. Luckily for their prisoner, Whizzer shows up at this point and sets her free. Masquerade would gladly give the flories the what-for here and now, but the flowers have grown too strong for two little ponies to deal with alone and they head off to find help.

Posey, meanwhile, is in tears over her beloved garden having been destroyed. She initially assumes the crabnasties did it, until Whizzer and Masquerade arrive and explain how things stand. She still has some trouble computing the idea that pretty flowers could be evil and giant crab monsters could be good, however; cue a song from Megan about not judging a book by its cover.

Megan and the ponies go to find the crabnasties to apologize and get some help. The crabs, who in the meantime have freed themselves from the cave, have decided that if the ponies were so sure they knew what was going on they can deal with flories by themselves. The flories attack the group at this point, however, and the crabs' police instincts compel them to help out.

The flories are soon overwhelmed by the combined force and recaptured. The crabnasties prepare to leave, decide to first help Posey repair her garden — they were the first ones to wreck if, after all — and the garden is soon cleaned, tilled, and ready for planting again. A grateful Posey apologizes for her earlier behavior, and tells the crabnasties that she thinks they're beautiful.
