All For One

With Bakugo in the hands of the League of Villains, the pro heroes prepare a massive, all out attack to their two known hideouts. Midoriya gets together with Kirishima, Iida, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki to make their own operation to save Bakugo. The true mastermind of the League comes out of the shadows.

At the training camp, three villains were captured, but the Villains achieved their goal- Katsuki Bakugo. But all's not lost, as the heroes have two tips about potential League of Villains hideouts- a civilian saw Dabi (those massive scars are highly recognizable) enter the building holding Kurogiri's bar, and Yaoyorozu made a tracker which leads to another location. But they pretend to have no leads and take the public accusations in order to throw the villains off their trail.

Meanwhile, a group of students (Midoriya, Iida, Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, and Kirishima) have decided to take Bakugo's rescue into their own hands, and they sneak towards the location revealed by the tracker, as the pro heroes split up and simultaneously raid both locations.

Bakugo was held at the villain bar, where Tomura 'Didn't-Think-This-Through' Shigaraki wanted to extend an invitation for Bakugo to join the League of Villains, on the basis 'he was angry at the sports festival, so he'll totally want to join the group that tried to kill him at USJ'. Bakugo, naturally, rejects the offer and attacks them. Yes, he's an uncontrollable raging bastard. However, he admires All Might and aspires to be a hero. The fight is interrupted by a group of heroes, serving up one large order of pizza with extra justice. But just as the League is about to be captured, they, along with Bakugo, are warped away to the other location...

... Which turns out to be a Nomu storage building. Heroes led by Best Jeanist and Mount Lady destroy the building, while the Bakugo Rescue Squad hides behind a wall. Best Jeanist attacks and restrains someone who turns out to be All for One, who saved Shigaraki's ass and warped him and the League of Villains away via Kurogiri's quirk. All for One then fights with All Might, after curbstomping the rest of the heroes. All Might's not in the best shape, but All for One didn't get away from their previous battle without a scratch either- his head is a mass of scar tissue.

The B.R.S. gets Bakugo out of the way, and the fight ends with All for One K.O.'d, but to do so All Might has used up the last of the One for All embers that remained with him after the transfer to Izuku. Now, All Might is once again Quirkless.

Tropes

  • Arc Villain: All For One has been teased before as the mastermind behind the League of Villains, but he makes his presence know as he makes his final face-off against All Might.
  • Batman Gambit: Midoriya has known Bakugo long enough to understand Bakugo will refuse to be rescued by him, specifically. He counts on Kirashima to extend his hand because he puts up with the bad tempered student than most, and it works.
  • Big Damn Heroes: By the end, Midoriya's team successfully rescues Bakugo, several Pro Heroes evacuate the citizens from the battlefield, and All Might himself faces All For One.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Bakugo is rescued from the League of Villains hideout and All For One is finally captured and send to a maximum security jail so that he can no longer influence the underworld. However the fight with All For One led to several pro heroes, including Best Jeanist, to be out of action and hospitalized. Some heroes, such as Ragdoll of the Wild Wild Pussycats, had their Quirks stolen by All For One and, until they can get them back, can no longer work as Pros. All Might was forced to use the last of One For All in order to defeat his foe, and is now officially facing retirement. Not only that but All For One considers the fact that All Might didn't die a victory in itself and believes that Tomura's hatred for All Might will only grow stronger now that his beloved mentor is in prison and thus turn him a more effective villain.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The combined pro hero and police force utterly decimates the League and rescues Bakugo without a hitch, completely preempting Midoriya and his friends' plans to rescue him.
    • All For One promptly returns the favor by kidnapping Bakugo AGAIN, rescuing the League members, ambushing the police force with a fraction of the Nomu army, and takes out several pro heroes who were at the Nomu factory in less than a second, with the No. 4 hero Best Jeanist among them!
  • Double Meaning: All Might says "You're Next" in a breif interview following his fight, pointing at the camera. For everyone, it's a warning to the villains. For Midoriya, it's All Might's message that it's his turn to become to next "Symbol of Peace".
    • All For One says this during his imprisonment, indirectly saying that it is Shigaraki's turn to lead the League of Villains.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: All for One forces All Might to reveal his skinny form thinking that it will demoralize the civilians. While it works at first, they find the sight of him standing up to a powerful villain in this state to be inspiring. They proceed to cheer All Might on and give him a Heroic Second Wind.
  • Final Battle: This wasn't the first time All Might and All For One fought, but it is more than likely the last. All Might uses the last of One For All to defeat the villain.
  • Last Stand: While All Might has been losing his powers for a while now this arc really shows how bad it has gotten as he can barely keep his full form active for more then five minutes and is shown degrading back into his emancipated body during his fight with All For One. Nonetheless All Might puts every last remaining ounce of his power in his battle with All For One and is able to deliver a punch strong enough to take the villain out once and for all.
  • Passing the Torch: Once All For One is locked away and All Might loses what's left of One for All at the end of the arc, both pass on the torch to their juniors, Shigaraki and Midoriya.
  • Pyrrhic Victory:
    • All For One considers All Might's victory over him to be this. He believes that, had All Might been killed, he would have become an Inspirational Martyr for the people of the world to rally behind. Instead he is now forced to watch as more travesties happen with no way to stop it. Plus, with All For One in prison, Shigaraki will be forced to become a more effective villain both in order to survive and to get revenge on All Might which is what All For One wanted in the first place.
      • As a sidenote, All For One still has many Quirks he stolen, including Ragdoll's Search. Until there is a way to get them back, Heroes like her can no longer work as Pros.
    • Also, Endeavor finally becomes the #1 Hero, but can't enjoy it, since he wanted to be the top hero by becoming better than All Might, not because of All Might retiring due external factors. Now he no longer has the chance to prove himself better than his longtime rival.
  • Rescue Arc: Both the students and the heroes attempt to rescue Bakugo from All For One after his kidnapping in the previous arc.
  • The Reveal: All for One reveals that Tomura Shigaraki is the grandchild of All Might's mentor and the previous holder of One For All: Nana Shimura.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: Midoriya and a few other students want to track down and rescue Bakugo, but the rest try to dissuade them, with Asui blatantly comparing their plan no better than a villain's scheme since none of them are licensed heroes yet.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: The random civilian who gave a tip about Kurogiri's bar ultimately caused Bakugo's rescue, All for One's defeat, and All Might's retirement.
  • Wham Episode: Four for the price of one:
    • All For One finally makes his move.
    • All Might's true form is revealed to the world.
    • Shigaraki is revealed to be the grandson of All Might's deceased mentor Nana Shimura.
    • All Might loses what's left of One for All after defeating All For One, and is now facing retirement. There are hints that villains will start popping up more often now that the "Symbol of Peace" is no longer active.
  • Xanatos Gambit: The confrontation between All Might and All For One. If All For One kills All Might, that's fantastic, but even when he gets defeated and put in prison, All For One feels that he came out ahead because he knows that it will motivate Shigaraki to grow stronger and more capable as a villain.
