- Colony Drop: Ratatoskr learns about Mukuro when she dumps DEM’s destroyed technology all over the planet.
- Heroic BSoD: Shido spends much of the volume in this after Mukuro gives him the Armor-Piercing Question about whether or not the Spirits he's sealed so far are actually safer from DEM, feeling that he's actually made them more vulnerable. His doujinshi counterpart in Beelzebub's world snaps him out of it.
- Holographic Disguise: Shido uses a volumetric hologram to speak with Mukuro.
- Lotus-Eater Machine: Westcott uses Beelzebub to trap Shido and the Spirits in a parallel world based on various fairy tales.
