• Adaptational Personality Change: Or Adaptational Expansion as Kris is a Player Character in the original game. In the Buddyverse, Kris is a Genki Girl Boisterous Bruiser who takes pride in her accomplishments and goes out of her way to find scenarios where she thinks she'll get an exciting adventure out of it.

• Big Bad: The new Team Buddy that has teamed up with the Aether Foundation to further their goals. The leader is eventually revealed to be an alternate universe of Buddy who lost his version of Cherry.
• Bittersweet Ending: Team Buddy is stopped, but Buddy is now lost in the multiverse and several Buddyized people are now missing including Lusamine. During the post game, Lillie reveals she had joined the Virbank Slodges in the hopes of getting stronger enough to rescue her mother and Buddy.
• The Cameo: Buddyized versions of Palutena, Lucina, Zelda, Roxie and other characters appear in background shots.

• Face–Monster Turn: Numerous canon characters become Buddyized over the course of the story, opposing the Player Character and their allies in every step of the way.
• Tragic Keepsake: After the final battle, Lillie is revealed to have kept Buddy’s now broken glasses
