A model drops dead during a photoshoot from silver poisoning. Beth's investigation leads her to a club where select clientele can purchase a new drug called Black Crystal. Beth isn't allowed into the VIP room, though, but she learns that the dead model had a chip embedded into her hand which acts as a pass. Meanwhile, Josef hires Mick to look for an ex-girlfriend of his named Lola, a 700-year-old vampire, who stole a million dollars from him. Mick discovers that she owns the club Beth is looking into. Beth gets into the VIP room using the chip, while Mick uses his vampire abilities to sneak in. They're confronted by Lola, who offers Beth a free taste of Black Crystal, claiming that the drug will let her know what it's like to be a vampire. Beth does and comes to Mick's apartment, trying to seduce him and get him to turn her. He refuses and puts her in a cold shower until the drug wears off. Mick finds a warehouse owned by Lola where vampires are being kept in tanks infused with silver, while Lola pumps their blood to make Black Crystal. Mick finds it monstrous, but Lola doesn't care. They fight, and Mick eventually gains the upper hand despite her age and experience. He drowns her in one of her vats and burns the place down after realizing that all of Lola's victims are too far gone to be saved.

- Fantastic Drug: Black Crystal is made from vampire blood and allows a human to experience the high of being immortal. Unfortunately, since Lola uses silver to keep her vampire victims docile, her customers eventually consume enough trace silver in Black Crystal to die from silver poisoning.
- Flash Step: Lola is so powerful she can move so fast even another vampire can't always spot her.
- Pirate Girl: Josef mentions that Lola used to be one and was trying to gather a pirate army.Josef Kostan: You know, back in the day you could do that kind of thing.
