Title: The Nude Organist (or: The Nude Man)
Original Airdate: 14/12/1972
A man tries to hold a plane hostage by planting a bomb on it, while he's still on the plane.
And now, it's: ten seconds of sex note , building projects built by literary characters and the magician Mystico, courtroom officials touring a mortuary, the Olympic finals of the men's hide-and-seek, a family visited by their obnoxious neighbors the Cheap-Laughs, the television show Probe investigating bullfighting, new information from the probe investigating the planet Algon, and Mr. Badger reading the credits.
Tropes:
- Call-Back: The redcoat and the rubber chicken knight from Series 1 return for another link.
- Comically Small Bribe: A Scot keeps demanding a pound to stop ruining sketches.
- Credits Gag: Badger, the Scotsman who has been interrupting almost every sketch, reads the credits at the end.
- Disproportionate Retribution: One sketch briefly mentions a man being investigated by the police for two years, convicted of not having a license for his car radio, for which he was subsequently hanged, "despite the prohibition of capital punishment, and a huge public outcry".
- Didn't Think This Through: The Scot opens the episode by claiming there's a bomb on the plane and will reveal where it is if he's paid a lot of money. If it he isn't paid, the bomb will explode and kill everyone...including him.
- Either/Or Title: "The Nude Organist (or: The Nude Man)".
- "Eureka!" Moment: In "the Olympic Hide-and-Seek Final", Francisco Huron has spent over 11 years looking for Don Roberts and is searching the Tagus Valley for him. He opens a garbage can and finds a sardine can, which not only clues him in to go to Sardinia, but to the exact spot where Don Roberts is hiding.
- Lovely Assistant: Janet, to the Amazing Mystico.
- The Nudifier: Scientists send probes across the galaxy to study shopping and women's underwear. The Algon-1 probe was the first piece of space hardware specifically designed to undress ladies.
- Pie in the Face: Mrs Cheap-Laugh splatters her husband in the face with a pie.
- Reading the Stage Directions Out Loud: Or rather...a Scot that has been interrupting the whole episode reads the credits at the end before the 16 ton weight is dropped on him.
- Ridiculous Future Inflation: The planet Algon-1 suffers from such a problem.
- Running Gag: A Scot played by Eric Idle promises to stop sabotaging sketches if he's paid a pound.
- Space Clothes: One scientist in the Algon-1 sketch, who discovered lingerie on another planet, believes that alien women's underwear gets naughtier and naughtier the further away you go.
- Whoopee Cushion: Mrs Robinson sits down on one that was left on the sofa by the Cheap-Laughs.
