The gang finds an ancient city kept orderly by a group of Hengers and a Techno-Dragon, including such marvels as vending machines.
One Henger was cast out of the city, however, as he grew beyond his programming and was able to think for himself. Genki and the others help him, and he promises to teach his fellow Hengers about emotions and free will.
This episode contains examples of:
- Ghost Town: The ancient city is completely empty of people, just robot-type monsters.
- Grew Beyond Their Programming: One Henger grew to think for himself outside of his programming, and was cast out of his city for it. In the end he decides to stay behind and help his fellow robots understand free will and compassion.
- Mechanical Lifeforms: The Henger and their leader, Techno Dragon.
- The Remnant: While the civilization they once served is long gone, Techno Dragon and the Henger remain, continuing to maintain and protect the city. None of them know what else to do.
- We Can Rebuild Him: Though Henger is blasted to pieces while trying to escape with the Searchers, he proves fully capable of speech, and is safely reassembled.
