The city's annual race begins again, with the promise of "immortality". Believing a Peach of Immortality as the prize, MK and Mei compete. However the DBK family jumps in as well to take part with the Gold and Silver Demons changing the rules.
Tropes
- Acquired Situational Narcissism: MK’s desire to win the Peach of Immortality leads him to impulsively enter the race even though he doesn’t have a proper vehicle and arrogantly presume he has the advantage over Mei, who is actually an experienced racer and has properly prepared for it. He eventually does realize he was being a jerk and apologizes, him and Mei winning the race together.
- Berserk Button: DBK finds himself trapped inside a mountain he just plowed through during the race. He then goes ballistic when his wife PIF calls back to the last time he was trapped under a mountain thanks to Monkey King.
- Brick Joke: At the start of the episode, the team is discussing the history of the Peaches of Immortality, and how the Monkey King stole them. At the end of the episode when MK wonders where the real Peaches of Immortality are, we see Monkey King relaxing and eating some at his place.
- Even Evil Has Standards: DBK and PIF discuss how petty it would be to shatter their own son's dreams after hearing him talk about winning the Peaches of Immorality. They decide to anyway and spite him, subverting this trope.
- Go-Karting with Bowser: Quite literally, with the Demon Bull Family joining in on the titular race, Red Son joining to acquire the Peach of Immortality, and Demon Bull King and Princess Iron Fan joining to screw over their kid. Hilariously enough, Red Son is the only one to antagonize MK and Mei during the race, with his parents ending up stranded in the middle of a mountain after DBK burns out their engine.
- Literal-Minded: Both MK and Red Son thought that the Peach of Immortality awarded to the race winner was the real deal and not a trophy, as a result of advertisement saying they would "win immortality"... unaware that it meant the winner would have their picture put up on the Great Wall.
- Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: The moment Demon Bull King enters the race, numerous racers make a beeline to quit out of the race, including Jin and Yin who take over as the commentators.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Mei angrily rips into MK when his impulsive foolhardiness leads him to destroying her motorbike and costing her the race.
