Air date: June 6, 2020 (CBC); March 25, 2021 (PBS)note

"Climb Every Mountain": Molly invites Oscar to go mountain climbing with her and Grandpa Nat, but Oscar is afraid of certain heights.

"Climb Every Mountain" contains the following tropes:

  • A Day in the Limelight: For Oscar.
  • An Aesop: Follow your heart. When Oscar asks his grandma whether she thinks he should go rock climbing, Midge responds by asking him what his heart is telling him.
  • Imagine Spot: Molly tells Oscar to imagine he's a lynx in order to encourage him to complete his climb. It works.
  • Shown Their Work: Zigzagged. The belayer in rock climbing always remains on the ground beneath the climber, and everyone on or near the rock must wear helmets in order to protect their heads from falling rocks. Grandpa Nat belays from the top of the rock, and Auntie Midge doesn't wear a helmet. On the other hand, Nat's hand placements while belaying the kids are animated correctly, and Molly teaches Oscar the correct way to communicate between climber and belayer.
  • Unreliable Narrator: Midge tells Oscar that she broke her toe the last time she went climbing with Nat, which only serves to make Oscar afraid to try rock climbing. Nat later specifies that Midge tripped on a tree root on the trail back from the rock.

"Happy Trails": Travis returns to Qyah to photograph a "rare" willow ptarmigan with the help of Molly and Tooey.

"Happy Trails" contains the following tropes:

  • The Bus Came Back: Travis Hightower is back in Qyah for more Florida Man shenanigans.
  • Companion Cube: Travis loves his drone, which is shaped like a parakeet and named Patty.
  • Drama Queen: After wandering around for an hour looking for a ptarmigan, Travis returns to the trading post covered in dirt and twigs and begging for water, before launching into an exaggerated tale about his journey.
  • Mr. Fixit: Nat is able to repair Travis' drone when one of the wings is badly broken.
  • Stock Sound Effects: A bald eagle is given a convenient red-tailed hawk screech to accent its screen time.
